Hello everyone!

I am excited to see that Sprout has created a great place for us to hang out and chat!

My name is Kayla, and I am a social media and gaming community manager for relatively new company called TLM Partners. We are a cloud studio that specialize in gaming and technology. We are 100% remote and global company that is working on breaking down barriers in the gaming industry by not limiting where people live.

I have always been in the gaming community and it’s great to be able to give back and follow my passion. I was originally a medical student, that changed to becoming a certified child life specialist (psychosocial help for children and families in the hospital setting), before ultimately deciding that I wanted to come back to marketing and the gaming world.

Social media has evolved so much over the last 10 years and I am excited to learn as much as I can to become the best me possible!

My hobbies include (other than gaming), reading, baking, and taking my mini-Goldendoodle on hikes! I currently live outside of NYC, but am originally from California, so winter has been HARD!

Super excited to connect with everyone! My social links are below :)

Welcome, @KMansell! And don’t worry about the type. I know a guy that can fix that.

This is so awesome and I’m so happy you’re here! If there’s anything that you’re looking for here, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can build this into something that reflects what the people want to build and my metaphorical door is always open!

Great to virtually meet you, Kayla! I’m originally from New York (Westchester Co. area) but have not lived there for a while - I do go back at least once a year though (well, pre-Covid). Anyway, it’s always great when you can work for a company that also allows you to follow your passion.

I have been using Sprout for only a few weeks now and there is still so much I want to dive into.

I’m the Director of Marketing & Comm. for a QSR called Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade - I have been here a little under 2 months and simply love the brand and all of what the company stands for.

You are probably a bit savvier with this tech than me  so I may be reaching out to you in the future.

Welcome!

It’s great to also meet you @david.allison !! I am excited to hear about what you are doing and would love to chat anytime!~ Sprout has been such a great tool for me - and I actually just finished the certification courses and working on the advanced side of things. Would love to help out anyway I can and also learn more about what you are doing!

Is your company based out of Hawaii? (It’s on my bucket list of places to see once things calm down so I might be bugging you for the best places to eat hahah!)

Thanks for fixing that for me @joe.huber !!! I appreciate you :)

@KMansell - No we are based in Arizona, but started in Hawaii. I should maybe look into the certs but I am spread pretty thin with many other obligations other than social media. We are basically an emerging brand - 11 locations in US / 2 in Japan, which will grow to about 20+ stores by EOY.

Nearly all of our menu is plant-based and we have delicious lemonades (12+ different flavors), acai bowls, grain bowls, flatbread sandwiches, and gourmet toasts all made on the premises fresh every day. Basically, this year we are looking to increase our footprint both physically but also in the social media sphere.

We are big on sustainability - nearly all of our packaging is compostable and believe in the spirit of aloha, which basically means to emote good feelings to others. It means mutual regard and affection and extends warmth in caring with no obligation in return.

@KMansell I just loved reading your intro! My son is an avid gamer and I’m going to tell him about the company you work for!

New York winter’s can be brutal for a California native.  I am from Miami, FL and I now reside in North Carolina.  Even though the winter isn’t as bad as NY, anything below 60 degrees is a crisis to my Miami body.

It’s a pleasure meeting and learning more about you!

Hi! Just joined the group — fellow New Yorker here (although I’m a native). The fact that it went from 50 to 5 this week definitely hit my psyche hard 😉

Super curious about what your company does, as I have long followed the struggles for women in the gaming industry.
