The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) doctoral marketing candidates are conducting research on the following topics under the guidance of Professor Arvind Rangaswamy (University Distinguished Professor of Marketing):

  • Identifying ways to improve influencer marketing strategies
  • Specifically, focusing on using data to select authentic influencers who drive brand message diffusion.

They are seeking industry collaborators for their research. If your organization runs influencer marketing campaigns in a specific category (e.g., food, fashion, fitness), they'd appreciate your participation.

What's involved?

  • Sharing data on past influencer campaigns
  • Data types needed include:
    • Influencers used
    • Influencer posts (location, timestamp)
    • Campaign outcomes (impressions, engagement, conversions)
    • Brand spend on other digital marketing (search, TV)
    • Influencer network data (followers, demographics)
    • Brand profile and product information
  • Participants will receive a summary of the research findings, as well as any intermediate outputs the collaborators would like to get.

This research has the potential to significantly improve how brands utilize influencers!
