Hi all! We are having trouble finding data on our Facebook events. When we view it in the Meta Business Suite, it just shows a --- instead of an actual number. Is there any way to find the actual number, or does Meta not track event data?

Follower Strategy

Hi yall! Curious to hear if anyone has run a successful organic social strategy campaign -- specifically on LinkedIn for a B2B company without paid dollars. What are you doing to increase your followers? Are you asking customers to follow you? Are you getting internal thought leaders to invite folks to follow your account? Are you adding CTAs to emails/blogs, etc.? Curious to hear some latest tactics. For context, we are trying to increase our WoW follower count. It’s not bad at the moment but we’d love it to be even better.

LinkedIn Algorithm -> Reach Decline

Hi all! Don’t know who else is in the same boat but if you’re like me, you may have noticed shifts in LinkedIn performance recently 😅 We’re a B2B tech company and last year we were on a high with increased impressions, engagement rate and CTR QoQ for just about the whole year! Then come January 2025...our impressions have completely gone down. We are getting half to 1/3 of the impressions we used to get. We have a consistent posting strategy (daily), we do a mix of thought leadership, static imagery, carousels, and once in a while videos. Yet, our organic reach has declined MoM this year. With this being said we still have an excellent ER and CTR, its just the reach. Is anyone else experiencing this with a B2B LinkedIn account? What are you doing to combat this? Curious to hear from others.

Data Reporting - Differing Results

Hello! We use Sprout tags on every post, tagging by department. So, theoretically, our tag report should give a pretty good idea of how well our overall performance is. The engagement rate between the report on “profile performance” versus “tag performance” for the same period and the same platform is VERY different. Can anyone help me understand why this is?

Meta ditches impressions and switches to views

Hey y’all! Every month I put together a social report for our more than 40 channels across FB and Insta. I prioritize metrics like engagement rates and impressions, but with Meta ditching impressions and switching to views it makes me wonder how this shift will impact how performance is truly measured. The inclusion of repeat views for non-video content alters how performance is measured. Inflated view counts could impact CPM metrics, making them appear more favorable without necessarily reflecting higher engagement quality. I would love to understand what everybody thinks of this and pivots made on reporting in order to reflect these changes!

Annual profile performance engagements vs paid engagements

When I look at Engagements in the Performance Summary under Profile Performance and compare it to Engagements in the Paid Performance Summary for Facebook & Instagram Paid Performance, the second number (Engagements in the Paid Performance Summary for Facebook & Instagram Paid Performance) is twice as large as the first number (Engagements in the Performance Summary under Profile Performance). It doesn’t make sense that this number for paid is larger than the number paid + organic (the Engagements in the Performance Summary under Profile Performance includes both paid and organic for Facebook.) Why am I getting numbers that don’t make sense?

Excluding employee engagements from LinkedIn content

Hi everyone! I was recently asked by one of our senior leaders if we can exclude employee engagements from our LinkedIn content to see if we are growing our community outside of our workforce. Has anyone had this question before and if so, how did you approach this? My understanding is that this would need to be done manually (i.e. going through the reactions, comments and reposts and identifying who is an employee and removing them from the overall engagement metric per post), which would be very time-consuming. Would love to know if anyone has dealt with something like this before 🙏🏻 Thanks!

Engagements dropped in 2024

Starting to do 2024 reports and I’m noticing a huge drop in engagements overall especially on Meta when compared to 2023. Is anyone else noticing this trend in their 2024 annual reports. Trying to see if its client, industry or platform specific. Thank you.

Instagram Follower Analysis Tool or Best Practices for Deeper Insights?

Hi fellow Arb members! I had a question about ways to explore a prospective client’s Instagram followers on a deep level (beyond location, gender, age, and active times) if possible. The agency I work for is pitching this client, so we do not have access to their public Instagram profile or have it connected to Sprout or any other tools for deeper insights. Does anyone know of any tools or any best practices for evaluating their followers (I think they’re most interested in looking into the quality of their followers)? Thank you!

Possible to export a VIP list? Report on this feature?

We have set up some VIP lists based on follower counts and some accompanying auto-rules (e.g. auto-tag VIP, auto-assign case to our partnership person, auto-complete), curious if there is a way to export a VIP list so we could have a list of people we have added to this list? Also would be nice to be able to auto-add people to a VIP list based on follower count though from what I have been told this is not a possibility yet due to API limitations.

Facebook Purge

So, I was checking my Sprout report for our profile like I always do on Monday and noticed that our Facebook followers dropped 1.4k since December 4. Are they having another purge that I missed? Or is this a blip? I have metrics meeting on Wednesday and would rather not be breathing in a paper bag the entire time.

How can our average engagement rate per reach increase but everything else decline?

These metrics are a result of auto-posting content across ~560 Facebook Pages, YoY. I understand engagements, impressions, and reactions increased because we included more Facebook Pages in our auto-posting throughout the year, which is why I wanted to pull in the average impressions/post, average reach/post, average engagements/post. I am confused on how average engagement rate per reach would increase despite other averages declining? What might this mean?

Why is my engagement per impression up but my overall engagement down?

I work in Higher Ed and when I compare last year’s metrics to this year’s it shows that our Engagement per impressions is up, but our overall engagement is down. This is consistent across all our platforms. Why would this be? Thanks!

How Do You Track Boosted Instagram Reels Data?

Okay video marketers, how are we getting macro views of how our boosted Instagram reels are performing? I’m finding that the video plays and engagement data I get for an Instagram Reel in Sprout does not account for ad center watches. For example, if I look at the last 6 months in Sprout, it shows only 2,869 video views on our Instagram. When I look natively on Instagram, I can see that one individual reel has 9,224 plays. (In “Insights” I can see that this individual reel has 9,224 plays and 5,852 Reach) Yes, this includes boosting of this video. So what I’m trying to figure out is, how to I look globally at my video campaigns and see how they’re doing and set benchmarks when I have to individually go into each video and note the data natively in IG, and usually from my phone?! Am I missing a better way to do this? Thank you!
