I have just started a new position with an agency. It is my first agency gig and I am the sole SMM at the company. There is limited info on our clients social media metrics to date (>1yr), I would like to set some KPIs for client accounts as we move into 2024. Aside from reviewing what little historical info we do have, are there any other recommendations or platforms that I should look at to help set these numbers/ targets?
Good Morning, My boss’s personal Facebook profile was apparently hacked, and deactivated because of fraud. And now his profile names says Meta Copyright Infringement. The email on the account was changed so he has no way to get in and change the account back to him. Has anyone had this happen to them before? Or have any advice on how to fix this for him. Thank you in advance.
Hi all!We posted a duet without a caption beyond the duet on tiktok...were a little to fast on the draw! It’s doing eh, thinking we should pull it down and repost later today in hopes it does better.Does anyone have experience trying this? Did it help? Or did /willthe algos catch it was the same content and push it down so it did the same or worse? Any advice?
Hey there! I’m working on an article for the Sprout Insights blog. To really help inform it, I’d love to hear how you’re using Sprout custom reports and how they help you’re reporting process! (You might even get quoted in the article!) Lmk! 👇 👇
Hello everyone!Does anyone know if there is a way to download my LinkedIn Company Page's followers into an Excel document that includes their names, company name, etc. Our BD/Sales team was looking to use this list for their activities and I want to be able to use this data to show our people that they should be posting to their own connections and not relying on the company posts to do all of the heavy lifting.I believe there was a way in Sales Navigator to download this data, but my company no longer is using Sales Navigator. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
Hi everyone! I have a target to grow two Twitter accounts. One for the Founder and the other for the brand. We’re currently at 721 for the Founder and I’d like to get it to at least 1000 by end of year (or even in 30 days). The brand account is currently at 39 and I’d like to grow that to at least 100 What strategies would you recommend I use to grow both accounts simultaneously?
How are people “presenting” their social listening findings/reports? I know Sprout gives you a few different options for exporting and you can take screen grabs but is anyone taking the social listening data and making it into a PPT or something? I would love details for inspiration! I work at an ad agency and often times the way the social listening report presents itself isn’t enough. What are you doing to make it more into a report and/or present it to your client / others in the agency?
I am trying to run a comparison report among all of the accounts I manage for each platform that breaks down the engagements, impressions, etc. without turning it into aggregate data. I want to see each account compared to each account, not combined. I haven’t found a way to create that sort of report in sprout besides the competitor reports, but these are accounts I manage so it doesn’t make sense to me to list them as competitor accounts.
Hello! I manage the social strategy and accounts for a computer science college at a bigger university. One of the questions I get constantly is how our average engagement rate per impression (organic, across platforms) compares to other colleges or departments in Universities of comparable size.We have undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs within our college and are located primarily in Boston, MA, with network campuses around the country and in Canada. Hoping to get any insight into this from anyone willing to share. Thanks!
Has anyone else noticed Meta removed Instagram carousel video views as part of the data Sprout has access to?This was a massive part of our Instagram strategy and as a result has reduced our views significantly. Tried to contact them but as always their support is utterly useless and Sprout say it’s on them to sort. Incredibly frustrating.
Has anyone experienced a drop in engagements and impressions these past few months? We went from seeing consistent impressions and engagements to a dramatic loss in the last few months with no real understanding as to why this might be. The same goes for Facebook followers, as we’ve been seeing a loss rather than growth in the same timespan.
Social media has become an epicenter of consumers’ daily lives. It’s where news breaks, trends emerge and communities form. The more social’s influence expands, the more vital social media data and insights become to running a successful, competitive organization. The Harris Poll, on behalf of Sprout Social, surveyed more than 750 leaders in social media marketing, customer care and communications from a cross section of US and UK businesses to better understand how they’re investing in social media and its impact throughout their organizations. Despite current macroeconomic trends, social media budgets are expected to rise—but leaders are eyeing emerging technologies and other organizational changes to ensure maximum dividends.Key findings from the research include:80% of business leaders anticipate their company’s social media budget will increase in the next three years, and among them, more than 2 in 5 (44%) estimate their budget will increase by more than 50%. 90% of leaders agree
I’m wondering, is there an average “churn rate” percentage for losing social media followers? I’ve been looking at my company’s social media analytics and one of the goals I want to set for my team is to increase follower retention. But, I’m running into a roadblock finding info on what actual goals and KPIs should be. What defines success?
Hi!I oversee social at a large HR Tech company. I lead the strategy for the corporate brand as well as advise our regional marketers and sub-brands on social practices. (There is a more elegant way to explain that - but I am struggling with words at the moment.)We have recently been given the green-light from our social stakeholders to explore TikTok. However, we are very conservative and risk-adverse when it comes to social. As a result, I have been tasked with creating guidelines (dos and do nots) for our social leads looking to use the platform for their regional efforts and/or sub-brand. Has anyone seen or created something like this? I’m not sure where to start.Any advice or suggestions are welcome!

For some reason, pretty much overnight, our facebook engagement rates dropped dramatically. I haven’t really changed anything specifically but it happened around the same time Meta Business Suite replaced creator studio. Has anyone else experienced this or got any advice? Thanks in advance :)
For years now we’ve been tracking impressions, engagements, engagements by type, engagement rate, clicks, and click through rate for our organic content on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.Lately it seems like META is reporting data out differently and so our data tracking is off. We have more impressions out of the blue and then a giant drop.So what metrics do you think are best to use?
This question came up in a client call today: does it seem that most consumers today passively consume brand content versus engage with content? Meaning, his thesis was most consumers today don’t expend the energy to interact (like, heart, comment, share, send) with brand content on Instagram like they were a year or more ago. My “feel” without having data or research is that most consumers will interact with a brand’s content but the relevancy bar for making an interaction is higher today than it used to be. Does anyone have research data on this? Thanks and have a great weekend.JJK
How is everyone managing contact phone numbers and emails across multiple Instagram accounts? I’m consolidating control over at least 6-7 different accounts, possibly more and want to eliminate the need to coordinate getting a security code from random folks whose phones or emails were associated with each account years ago. From what I can gather IG limits the number of accounts that can be associated with a single email address to 5 accounts (but I’ve seen some conflicting info around that as well). So I’m considering the following options: Creating 2-3 IG-specific emails that myself and my team have access to that we can use for all of our different accounts Creating a Google Voice account or accounts for phone numbers we can use to associate with our different accountsDoes anyone have experience with these approaches or alternatives? It goes without saying that once we settle on an approach everything will have to be clearly documented in our password vault.
Hi all! As you may know, Facebook requires users to use their personal profiles in order to manage, create, and execute tasks within the business manager and business pages. Do you have any recommendations on how businesses/agencies can set up a personal account that can function as a business admin? We often find that our external integrations from Facebook like Sprout and other reporting software need to be connect via personal profiles that are admins in our business manager, however, it would be nice if we had an account (personal profile) that we could use across the business in order to establish those connections. Please let me know your thoughts and best practices! Thanks in advance :)
