Freelance social media tends to be an all in one type job (even though it shouldn’t be). So I find myself being an amateur photog, videographer, copywriter etc all to be an expert social media practitioner.  And it seems there are two levels to go about dealing with this, charge more so this can be outsourced to the experts, or be constantly context switch to work with the clients who can’t afford this.  I would love brain cells or other ways to accomplish a balance without having to be all things. Or is this just the nature of the beast?

When I was a freelance SMM, I found that it made more financial sense often to be an all-in-one Social pro. Honestly, many of us in the B2B social world or other sectors struggle with these same things. The cool thing about working for yourself is that it gives you the option to charge per additional service so perhaps you’re better compensated for each individual additional thing that you have to do while corporate SMMs really are only compensated for 9-5 work on a basis of the corporation being able to add additional tasks when/as needed.

Good point! I make the decisions about what is and isn't included!
