Meet Jeremy Kohm!

This month’s Member Spotlight features @Jeremy, a Creative Development, Manager with a passion for social storytelling, visual innovation, and bringing fresh perspectives to content development. With a career shaped by learning from others, Jeremy is all about giving back to the social media community and sparking meaningful conversations. Let’s dive into his world.

Beyond the Screen: Baking, Surfing & Travel
When he’s not developing social content, you might find Jeremy baking up something delicious, traveling, or out in the water surfing. Recently, he’s been getting more into hiking, embracing the outdoors whenever possible. But one thing he definitely doesn’t love? Shopping.

Creative Spotlight: The Death of a Lawn
One of Jeremy’s standout projects was "The Death of a Lawn," a short-form video exploring the history of the American yard and why the pursuit of the perfect lawn is often unattainable. By reframing what could have been a mundane topic into something thought-provoking and engaging, he and his team sparked strong audience interaction—proof that the right storytelling can make anything compelling.

Go-To Social Accounts for Inspiration
For both narrative and visual storytelling, Jeremy frequently turns to:

  • @librarycongress – A goldmine for historical and cultural insights.

  • @themuseumofmodernart – A reliable source for bold, artistic inspiration.

Fueled by Curiosity & Research
Jeremy believes that great ideas are rooted in thorough research. His creative process starts with digging deep, exploring new perspectives, and letting insights naturally shape strong content. He’s passionate about education, curiosity, and the power of storytelling to connect with audiences in unexpected ways.

Let's give Jeremy a warm Arboretum cheer! Drop a comment to connect, ask questions, or share your thoughts on creative development in social media.

Thanks for sharing your story, Jeremy. I’m a visual designer working at a non-profit organization and I try to translate stories into visuals. I like how @themuseumofmodernart feature stories of artists and artworks at their channel.

I’m curious to know, how do you spark conversations within your community?

Fun fact: I don’t like shopping either! Looking forward to connecting with you 😊

Great feature! I definitely need to look into that campaign “death of a lawn” - as a canadian living in edmonton...it’s near impossible to keep a perfect lawn with all our challenging weather aha!
