Hi Community!

Pew Research Center released a new report titled “Teens, Social Media and Technology 2022.”

It might not be immediately evident why we should care about teens' social use. I'd start with the thought exercise of "Just how many brands are on social promoting their products to teens.” Heck, how many of the brands that you represent/work with are engaging with this new generation of social media savant?

Some of my favorite stats for you:

  • Pew’s research paints an even more stark contrast in expected YouTube use from that demographic than even our own 2022 Index Data.
  • Nearly half of teens now say they use the Internet ‘almost constantly’ (as demonstrated in this data viz)

What sticks out to all of you? Anything that Pew missed in their research? Any tips for how your brand makes decisions based on these demographic data points?
