- For real though, there is a lot of pressure to perform around the holidays. We invest a good bit of time and resources into our content creation, and it’s disheartening when sometimes things don’t perform. However, there’s always the opportunity to learn through looking at the numbers & making sure we change up the strategy when things don’t land.
Day to day Likes/Dislikes
I feel your pain about holiday content. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t really matter what we post in the last two weeks of December - it just doesn’t perform very well. So we slow down on our posting, and we focus on paid strategy and scheduling carousel and photo posts so that our team has the freedom to take time off for the holidays.
I love your outlook of looking at it as a learning opportunity! I think the best path to success in social media is being willing to learn and experiment and pivot when needed.

+1Fortunately, our office is closed during the holidays so my content is more about wishing our clients a happy holiday and posting reminders we are closed until the new year.

+1I feel you on both counts, holiday content is the best and we also see a dip in engagement..
For us, we are a non-profit so the end of the year is a big push for fundraising so we have some paid campaigns going which helps boost those numbers. Great suggestion
