Hello friends!
As Threads is ramping up, I’m working on a strategic plan to keep momentum going on our account. One of our goals this year (and ongoing) is to engage more with a younger audience to increase brand awareness. The only thing that’s really seemed to work for us is my being unhinged on Threads. The only posts that get literally any engagement are those that have nothing to do with our brand / usual content.

So my Threads slide on my 2025 social media strategy pitch deck that I have to present to our exec team literally says “shit posting = not shit engagement” 😅

Lol, love it! Please report back on how it went!

I love this strategy - I wish my leadership and legal department would let us do this!!!

I’m so curious to hear what space your company is in. I don’t think this strategy is a good fit for my brand but love hearing about cases where it works!

Lol I love the way you worded it in  your presentation to execs.

I feel this so much - our best performing posts and platforms are ones where we’re making tongue-in-cheek jokes, hopping on trends, posting memes, and featuring dog content. I wish we could do more of that but the powers that be want a brand voice that’s more serious/thought leadership-y. It’s unfortunate that there’s a disconnect between how org leaders want the brand to be represented and the kinds of content that make people enjoy interacting with us online. Hopefully we’ll keep tweaking the social strategy to add more of the fun stuff since we can show it gets much more traction and introduces people to our brand who may never have interacted with the more formal side of it!

That’s funny!

I’m really enjoying watching how Threads continues to change as Meta tweaks the algorithm, and seeing how folks react in real-time. It’s an interesting experiment.

Now I want to see your whole preso, because that slide is a gem!
