Locked Out of Instagram Business Account


Hi everyone! Does anyone have tips for being locked out of an Instagram account due to not receiving the access code to login?

We do not have access to the Authenticator app linked to the account and have tried the following steps to regain access, but have failed:
• Password reset link worked, but we’re still blocked by 2FA
• Unable to turn off 2FA or add a secondary phone number for authentication
• Backup codes download as a blank file
• We also tried registering a trusted device — nothing has worked
• We have not had native access for over a year and had been posting via Sprout, but are now locked out of that platform as well and have been prompted to log in natively to reconnect the account

• We had reached out to Meta support previously ( and were advised someone would get back to us, but did not receive a resolution
• The account is connected to our main English account (this is the French account), but we are still unable to access it
