AI-enhanced filters and other AI media-editing features are becoming the norm on smartphones, in aps, and on social media platforms. I’m not surprised to see Tiktok adopt this feature as well.

The IG unlockable reels feature sounds like a great idea! I’m eager to see how it turns out in practice.

I’d love more resources on what social media folks will be expected to know given the rise of AI. For some orgs, it seems like they are doubling down on authentic content to combat AI, while others are expecting folks who can prompt like a boss.

Would also be interesting to know the state of AI in the social media sector… does Sprout have any data on that?

Coming from the nonprofit world where we’re focused on education and shifting everyday behaviors, I’m really excited about Unlockable Reels. It feels like such a fun way to meet people where they are and guide them toward deeper learning and action—without it feeling like homework. For orgs like ours, it’s a chance to personalize education at scale and make it feel rewarding, curious, and self-directed. Can’t wait to explore how this could drive real change.

What subsector are you in? I work at Candid (data nonprofit) and we’ve been thinking about how the unlockable reels could inspire some educational journeys. Would love to share notes on how they go!

That’s awesome — I love Candid’s work! I’m currently leading content marketing at Veloz, a nonprofit focused on accelerating electric vehicle adoption through consumer education and public-private partnerships. We run a campaign called Electric For All that’s all about helping people make informed, values-aligned choices about going electric.

I’d love to swap ideas as you experiment — it feels like such a promising tool for shaping self-guided learning journeys in fun, low-barrier ways. Let’s definitely keep in touch!
