A timer. For productivity? Groundbreaking.
I know, I know. But I set the timer once an hour to remind myself to get away from my desk and stretch my legs, so I don’t fall into the rabbit hole of my inbox and tabs and tasks.
Taking a few moments to step away and reflect on the last hour and what I’ve accomplished in that time breaks things up nicely. It also makes my day feel more manageable, so I’m less likely to suffer from Fried Egg Brain, which is not a productive form of brain.
