+3I’ve been doing social media management for nearly 15 years now and have worked my way up to a senior digital comms role, but I’m not seeing a clear next step for me. There are so few social media director roles, comms director roles are always too PR focused, and I’m not up for going freelance.
What is your next step? How are you preparing for it?
I’d say one of the ways to level up is to try different industries. I think different industry has different communication strategies. Hope that helps!
I’m interested in this question as well. Like Kate I see the next level as a PR role (which manages social media) but maybe the next level could also be an External Communications Manager (so managing all external communication).
