We’re less than a week in and the December Giveaway Extravaganza conversation topics and responses are already impacting the way I work--thank you Sprout and the Arboretum community!

👀 I’m curious: Have you made any changes yet based on the conversations you’ve taken part in here?

Here’s my list…

  1. Started a running “scratch paper” document in Word, saved to OneDrive so I can access on all my devices. I’m using headline styles to create a table of contents and adding each new idea/suggestion/bit of brainstorming or writing with a new heading.

This was a day-1 productivity tip based on @katie.deaton’s Parking Lot concept. @lisa.rodrigo also mentioned that she screenshots everything. I tend to do that too, but never return to the screenshots I’ve taken! I’m combining the two concepts here so I can 🤞 be a little bit less forgetful about going back to my notes and reminders.

  2. Started a running meeting agenda/notes page in my paper planner. This is a productivity hack from @jon.mau, who keeps his in OneNote and uses tabs to separate them.

  3. In the works: a parallel work date for the marketing folks in our franchise offices, with some advice from @TAMAYS on structure, do’s, and don’ts.

  4. Researching now: How I can re-use our website content as zero-click content on LinkedIn and creating interactive, game-like content for a professional services company.

@Brittany Taylor Leveling all the way up i see!

The biggest changes for me are going to be around customer service and making my strategies clearer on paper without me having to be there to remind/explain. I’m implementing the focus method from @jaxn.engstrom (I believe) where each platform has Purpose, Audience, Success, and Frequency so that clients can have an at a glance in their strategy packet.

I’m also organizing my liftos (think notion) better to no only have a parking deck for creative ideas, but to also make it easier for me to surface all those creative ideas when I need to.

Documenting my strategy has been a HUGE win for me and for my org. I hope you see some movement there because of the changes you’re making!
