  1. Who are you? Hi! I’m Shirleigh, a Social Media Manager/Community Builder for a trades software company based in Kent, UK.
  2. What brings you here? I’m looking to connect with other social media professionals (you can add me on LinkedIn) and build a network where I can lean on others for advice on how best to approach social media.
  3. Fun fact! My go-to show is Strictly Come Dancing (for Americans, Dancing With The Stars), and I have a TikTok with over 11k followers about the show. I’ve used this page to help me secure job interviews as it provides a great discussion point! It also shows my social media skills.

Fun fact - I do photography as a hobby, which is a skill that comes in very handy when I need to create assets for social media posts.

    • I started in this role several weeks ago so I’m looking for inspiration for our social work, as well as learning about best practices for strategy and to stay up-to-date on the fast-changing social media world. (I was on the Arboretum at my previous org too.)
  3. Fun fact!
    • Not sure if it’s surprising but I’m a bird/wildlife photographer. It’s how I connect with the natural world and it keeps me active in nature (and keeps my blood pressure down, which is so necessary while working in the digital field!).
