Hello! I’m MacKenzie, and I’m the Social media and Community Manager at Mid-America Arts Alliance.

I’m hoping to learn more about interpreting analytics. If there’s anyone else in the academia/nonprofit/arts space I'd love to swap stories! :)

Hello! My name is Taylor Worsham; I’m an Engagement Specialist at VetMedux. Social media sparked my interest because I don’t have any personal social accounts, and I love trying to figure out the social media puzzle.

I enjoy Instagram and Facebook the most because there is so much potential for our brands on those platforms. Seeing the growth is incredibly satisfying.

The most memorable social media campaigns I’ve worked on regard our involvement in Mission Rabies, which conducts campaigns worldwide to vaccinate thousands of dogs and cats against rabies.

My top social media tip is to engage with your audience. You could have 100,000 followers, but those followers mean nothing if they’re not engaging with your content.

I’m not sure what the next big trend in social media will be, but whatever it is, we’ll do our best to monitor and follow it, too!

I hope to learn some social media tips and tricks from this community and connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about social media.

Hey all! I’m Kristina, the Social Media Manager at Supermetrics 👋

  • Favorite Social Media Platform: Since we operate in the B2B space, I’d say LinkedIn is a fun one, but I also really love working with Instagram. I also think WeChat is an interesting one (I used to work at a social media management platform for Chinese platforms, so studied that side of social quite thoroughly -- it’s so different, and so fascinating!).
  • Best Social Media Campaign: two campaigns I loved working on: for Acer’s gaming laptops where we worked with a Brazilian 3D studio and designed a whole epic intergalactic battle rhere] and another one where we launched a new series of Acer’s devices for creatives, and so, collaborated with a bunch of artists and production studios for some magical stuff Shorty award finalist!]
  • Top Social Media Tip: With each piece of content, I always ask myself - what value does it deliver for the viewer? Also, write like you talk (goes for both short social and long marketing copy).
  • Future Trends: Trends will come and go… what makes your brand/content stand out when yet another trend passes?
  • Learning opportunity: I’d love to connect with other SMM’s, share best practices, creative ideas, tips for better engagement … and particularly interested to hear from people in the B2B side of things!

Hi everyone, my name is Cala. I am currently on the social media team at Dremel Power Tools.

At Dremel, we are driven to change the space we’re in. For so long, the home renovation and power tool space has been male dominated, and we are striving to change that and create a more diverse and fun space. One campaign that helped us do this is our collaboration with Scrub Daddy! While Dremel is known for it’s rotary tools, we also have a power scrubber for cleaning. So, we teamed up with Scrub Daddy to have their sponge pads made for the Dremel Versa. During my senior year marketing classes, I gave a presentation on brand’s and their social media presence, and I focused on Scrub Daddy. Being apart of this campaign was not only professionally exciting, but personally exciting as well.

It is so hard to imagine what social media will look like in the future as it is constantly changing. I think that users are going to start looking for more from brands than promotional content. Things like sustainability and humanity efforts, values, etc. may come into play more when it comes to consumer purchasing decisions.

I am excited to network and eager to learn from others within The Arb! 😊

Hey all,

Sepy here, I head Growth Marketing at Glide; one of my responsibilities is to manage our social presence.

I’m not historically great at engaging in communities, but am loving using Sprout, and am really trying to get our social media marketing dialed in. So I figured I’d join the Arb and see if I can’t connect with some members on here and find inspiration, ideas, and better ways to use Sprout while I’m at it.

Fave channel: I’ve been loving using/learning LinkedIn lately. We’re a B2B org, and we’ve been trying to grow our presence on LinkedIn over the last 3-4 months. One way I’ve been trying to do that is by getting the entire team on board with sharing from their own accounts. Especially the Leadership team — but that’s no easy feat let me tell ya lol. I’ve been posting more regularly on there myself, trying to build my own following while also learning the ins and outs of the platform. (connect with me on LinkedIn)

Looking forward to making some new connections on here, and ‘sprouting’ some new knowledge……. I’m sorry.

Hi everyone, my name is Christyne and I currently work as a Marketing Specialist with Park Derochie in Edmonton, AB.

Social media has been a part of most of the jobs I’ve had and it’s so crazy to see how much it’s changed even from a few years back. From the platforms themselves to what type of content performs best, it’s interesting to see where we are and where we’re going. I think authenticity and video are hear to stay for the long run. I’m also really excited to see where AI takes us.

Can’t wait to get to know you all and learning more about how you use social media!

Hello,

It’s nice to be a part of the community. I’m Dan Levey, no relation to the actor from Schitt’s Creek. I am the Head of Social at Nelnet. I fell into social media from working into the hospitality industry, I like social because it moves so fast and it’s always evolving.

My favorite platform now is LinkedIn (Connect with me), it’s turned into a fun platform. It used to be Twitter, but that changed when Elon took over.

My favorite social media campaign was the first Employee Advocacy program I launched. I successfully onboarded over 900 employees in 6 months.

My go- to tip for creating impactful social media content is to be social and think about what the audience wants, not what the executives want.

I think short form video will still be what people want to see, brands will focus on being more social and putting out social first content.

I’m looking forward to learning from everyone and making new connections here.

Dan

Hello everyone, glad to be here.

My name is Samson Oloto, and I am the social media manager for Wevolver, a resource platform for engineers. I originally studied to be an engineer, but a chance role to build the social media channels of one company I used to work with started my journey into the social media space. Never looked back since then.

Favourite social media platform I'd say is Facebook. It is arguably the largest SM platform, and it is so interesting to create valuable content of such a wide variety of people.

Best social media campaign so far was publishing a report on Edge AI for some of the biggest engineering companies in the world. It was absolutely crazy and the engineers loved the report.

Top social media tip: Have fun. With work, and outside work.

Future trends: I try as much as possible to take it one day at a time. Audience tastes differ a lot, and what you think will be an absolute hit, turns out otherwise.

I hope to create as many meaningful connections as possible in this community, to learn, and share insights and experiences.

Hi! Nice to meet everyone.

I’m Taylor McCrackin (Connect with me), I am a Senior Marketing Specialist at NVA (National Veterinary Associates). I’ve worked in social since 2017. I started with organic social in an internship, which lead me to paid media opportunities, and now I primarily work in paid social & analytics, but also help with strategy and management of our agency for organic social.

My go-to tip for engaging and impactful social content = authenticity! Ditch the graphic and lean into amazing, fun, authentic photography/videography.

I am hoping in this community to stay up to date on trends, meet new peers, and get inspiration from the amazing work everyone else is doing!

Hi everyone!

I’m Kayleigh, a Social Media Manager at Woodgreen Pets Charity since 2018. I have been in the social media world for almost 10 years now - I ended up dipping my toes into it when I took on a previous employers social media channels on the side of being their copywriter many years ago, and haven’t looked back since!

Favorite Social Media Platform: Instagram or TikTok. I love that we’re able to be a bit more creative with our video content there, compared to other social channels!

Best Social Media Campaign: Our biggest post ever was shared last year across our channels about a dog called ‘Nellie’. It’s across our channels, but here’s the campaign on TikTok.

Top Social Media Tip: We’re really seeing lately that our supporters are loving authenticity, and the ability to show we’re human and are here not only to offer vital support to pets and people, but we’re here to show that being a pet owner is fun, too! Be yourself, and people value that more.

Future Trends: Hard to tell as social moves so fast! I’ll just be here doing my best to keep up with the changing pace and new opportunities.

Learning opportunity: Getting some inspiration for content, tips on what has and hasn’t been working for you all, and seeing the work everyone else is doing!

Hi! I’m Becki, I am a Marketing Manager for an automotive group in the Midlands, UK :) Social media is such a huge part of any digital job now, through I learned social media through MySpace and Bebo, when I was much younger!

I love working on Instagram and TikTok the most - there’s so much more creativity to be had there. No social media platform really lends itself to my job, so it’s really interesting to see what others do!

I’ve always loved Innocent campaigns, but my fave campaign I’ve worked on was a brand awareness piece for our newest brand, we did a Visit Ben campaign to ask people to come and visit him, rather than speak specifically about the brand itself :)

Top Tip! be honest, and engage with responses.

I have no idea what the next big thing will be - and if I did, I’d be in a different job! However, I love keeping up with trends and exploring new platforms (like Threads!

I’m here for inspiration, best practice, content examples and to just be a part of it :)

Hi, everyone! I’m Natasha, Brand & Marketing Director at Planned Parenthood of Southern New England.

My favorite social platform is between Instagram and TikTok. I love Instagram for catching up with my own friend group and TikTok to see how hilarious people are and all the ways people make informational content fun and interesting.

My go-to for creating engaging content is 1. using/creating video content and 2. using our real people. Our real people content always does the best and the ideal is when I can mix those two things together!

Hi Everyone, I’m John Smith, marketing manager at AMANI.

I use social platforms like Instagram and TikTok.  They are very good platforms to get a lot of help by the people how they create wonderful content.

I also use story saver to save memories from Instagram and other apps like it.
