The past few years, we’ve talked a lot about the value of “touching grass” for mental health and preventing burnout when you work in the social media industry. But we on the Sprout content team also have a theory that touching grass is beneficial for our creativity and work performance.

In the age of AI-generated content and brand parity, where do you go to find offline inspiration in a chronically online world? Can you share how something offline inspired a campaign or social post?

For a chance to be featured in our upcoming Substack article, share your favorite places for IRL inspiration and examples by this Wednesday, July 8.

Conversations with friends and family! This kind of goes against the concept of "leave work at work" but often I find myself talking about campaigns with friends, and then their questions and perspectives give me inspiration for new ways to frame the brand for the audience. It can be questions they asked or ways they related it to their own life, and sometimes I get lucky and the campaign interacts with their industry - then I feel like I'm getting the real insider knowledge that gives me a solid foundation of inspiration.
