Every December I check multiple websites to help me brainstorm content ideas for the following year, like fun holidays related to my industry. Is there a particular website/source that you’ve found helpful to plan content?

Yes, www.daysoftheyear.com is a must visit before each month.

This site lists pretty much every major holiday and made-up faux holiday you can imagine.  Strawberry Shortcake day, stamp collector’s day, ground hog day, and son on.

You can get some great content ideas from this.

Have fun.

Hey @yahaira.hernandez, great question and something I think everyone struggles with!

For us being in the healthcare space, we use a calendar of recognitions from SHSMD. This helps us outline each month what/who are being recognized and shape our content strategy around that. For example, September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month and since we’re a global leader in SCI care/research that’s a big month for us and we have a lot of campaigns going then.

I’m sure there’s recognitions for different industries so it might just take some digging to find what would make sense for your organization. Hope that helps!

That’s great! Thanks for the suggestion!

That’s great to know! Being in the higher education space, we cover LOTS of industries so it’s fun to celebrate all sorts of holidays and highlight the educators and students in a variety of fields.

I enjoy checking History.com (https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history), Britannica (https://www.britannica.com/on-this-day), and OnThisDay.com (https://www.onthisday.com/) for relevant historical tidbits and anniversaries we can celebrate. We do a lot of work in infrastructure construction, so I’ll often look up a large building project (like the Hoover Dam) and add milestones from that to my calendar for a little something different.
