Question

Social media in the car industry

Hi all! I’m a bit newer to the sprout platform but I’m also relatively newer to being in the car industry. Does anyone have any solid organic tactics that they use in the industry that seems to work well for them? Our company has an ad agency on top of what I do as the social media manager and while their paid ads aren’t bringing in the numbers we’d like to see, I’m looking for better ways to maximize our organic content in the best way possible!

Not automotive, but in heavy equipment we’ve seen luck with Google My Business, a new podcast, and a regular cadence on all platforms (about 4-6x/week on Meta platforms and 3ish on others like LinkedIn, TikTok, YT Shorts). We’ve chosen to keep organic social organic and free of ad graphics but do still include promo posts. Be sure to have a way to accurately track your link clicks for different campaigns!

Welcome! For organic growth, focus on showcasing real customer stories, behind-the-scenes content, and educational car tips. Consistency, engagement, and local hashtags can also boost reach. Authenticity tends to outperform polished ads in this space!
