I saw a TikTok last night talking about Nostr, a “decentralized, censorship-resistant social media protocol.”

It was new to me so I wondered if anyone was familiar with it! I found a CNN article from this year and Forbes from last year, it looks like it gained popularity with crypto/tech as early adopters.

Do we think it’s worth looking into? Is anyone already using it?

As much as I'd love a new decentralized network popping up, it's been a year since a client has mentioned Bluesky or Mastodon. Just not sure there's much demand from the business side of things.

I agree on the business side! I poked around so many new platforms last year, Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, Hive, etc. Personally, I found Mastodon too confusing to navigate, but I’m interested in any new platform being hailed as the “future of social.”

Interesting, thanks for sharing! Tbh I really wish Mastodon had a larger user base, but maybe slow and steady wins the race?
