My productivity tip is borrowed from the book Deep Work by Cal Newport.
He suggests you time block the same couple hours every day for deep work. This is time where you are pushing your brain to its capacity and putting in your hardest effort, in order to create work that cannot be easily duplicated. It’s where you are really adding value to the workplace. The more you stick to it, the easier it gets.

Interesting! I’m going to have to add that book to my list. I find I do that with projects from time to time, but it’s not intentional and it really is the work I enjoy doing the most because you know it’s making a difference.

At my job, we call this “Heads Down Time” and label it as such on our calendars, with the color red so everyone is aware. It’s the equivalent of “Do not disturb unless the building is on fire.” We love a workplace boundary that breeds productivity!
