This is a minor win, but one of my favorite career moments of the year was my vice president shouting out my social media strategy in an all-staff marketing and communications team meeting. After working in so many toxic offices, it was just a huge win to be recognized for the work I’ve been doing. Some senior leadership has trouble understanding the impact social media has on the brand, so it was a great feeling.

One of my favorite Arb moments from this year was attending “The Power of Numbers: Unraveling Data for Social Media Success” event with Jazmin Griffith. I really loved hearing from her and getting her insights on social media data and especially social listening! It was extremely insightful! I walked away with a lot of great new ideas and tools that our team could use to better understand our social media data. After the event I immediately followed her on social because I wanted to continue to learn from her. All of the other events this year have been amazing as well but this one was definitely a favorite of mine 😊

This was a great event! I love all of the webinars that Sprout puts on. It’s always a great excuse to take a break from work and brush up on some new skills.

One of my favorite career moments this year: earning a USA gold medal!

Backstory: I am the social media manager for Choose Lansing and the Lansing Sports Commission. The sports commission hosted a national Taekwondo championship event this year, and I promoted the event on social media in advance, in addition to attending the event and creating reels during and after with footage of some of the matches, some cool roundhouse kicks, and just showcasing the amazing athletes that were there competing.

A couple months later at an industry conference, someone from USA Taekwondo presented the sports commission team with one of their championship gold medals as a thank you for outstanding social media promotion, which the team passed along to me. It’s proudly hanging up at my desk, and it’s heavier than I thought it would be!

It’s such a game changer to have a team and leadership that recognizes the hard work that goes into social media! Great work :)

one of my career wins was updating our company website! This was a major undertaking and every step had many obstacles and channels, so it felt like a huge achievement to finally get the green light to go live.

That’s a monumental win! Congrats!

A career win this year was launching a thought leadership video series with my team! After a successful launch campaign, social media takeover on LinkedIn, and Times Square billboard takeover, we ended up winning gold in the LinkedIn B2B Marketing Award category at the Canadian Marketing Association awards! This series has brought together leaders in learning across organizations like LinkedIn, TikTok, and Amazon, and I can’t wait to see what Season 2 brings!

Perhaps it’s not just a minor win if it’s something you remember with pride and sticks with you as a standout moment from 2024. Either way, congrats, that’s awesome, Tori!

My career win this year was starting a job as a Social Media Manager! Up until now, I’ve had more general marketing titles, which made my job a lot more spread out. It’s been so nice to dig in to social media exclusively, and my skills have seriously improved in such a short amount of time. I feel like I have room to breathe!

That’s a major win in my books! Congratulations! It’s always so validating when leaders recognize the value of social!

Congrats on the new role! Going from general marketing roles (wearing many hats) to narrowing into social is a nice change. Lots to discover here!

Agreed! I originally followed her on LinkedIn, so it was great to have a webinar to focus on some of the great takeaways she has.
