What does everyone think about Edits, Instagram’s new app for creating reels? I downloaded it yesterday and used it for a reel today - so far it seems like a solid alternative to creating natively in IG, but I’m curious if anyone plans to stick with Cap Cut or other apps/software to make reels and vertical social content.
When a new tool launches, I like to wait and see what bugs or glitches there are (and for them to be ironed out), but I’m open to trying it out in a few months. So, unless there’s an urgent client-driven or feature-driven reason, I’m staying with CapCut for now.
+4We still heavily use either the native Instagram tools, or build it in Adobe Premiere. I’m waiting to see what the Influencers post on how they like using it before I jump on it. Normally Meta does like to boost posts that use their new tools, so it may be worth jumping on sooner, rather than later.

A potential algorithm boost was one of the main reasons I decided to try it out. It is performing slightly better than our last couple of reels, so I think it was worth it!
