What does everyone think about Edits, Instagram’s new app for creating reels? I downloaded it yesterday and used it for a reel today - so far it seems like a solid alternative to creating natively in IG, but I’m curious if anyone plans to stick with Cap Cut or other apps/software to make reels and vertical social content.

When a new tool launches, I like to wait and see what bugs or glitches there are (and for them to be ironed out), but I’m open to trying it out in a few months. So, unless there’s an urgent client-driven or feature-driven reason, I’m staying with CapCut for now.

We still heavily use either the native Instagram tools, or build it in Adobe Premiere. I’m waiting to see what the Influencers post on how they like using it before I jump on it. Normally Meta does like to boost posts that use their new tools, so it may be worth jumping on sooner, rather than later.

A potential algorithm boost was one of the main reasons I decided to try it out. It is performing slightly better than our last couple of reels, so I think it was worth it!
