Posting in multiple languages

Hey all, 

 

I was wondering what your strategies and best practices are for posting in another language. Our organization posts in English and Spanish (because I as the social media manager can write and speak in Spanish, not because it's a standard). But since Facebook and IG will auto-translate the captions a lot of the time, I'm wondering if I need to actually post in both languages? I'd love to know what your experiences and processes are when posting the same content in different languages!

Hey! From my experience, it's usually better to post the copy in its native language rather than rely on auto-translate. My company is global, so we post content across regions like EMEA, LatAm, APAC and UKI, and I’ve noticed auto-translate isn’t always the most reliable, especially outside of English and Spanish.

So just a heads-up: auto-translate can be a bit off or too literal sometimes. I’m unsure if this is helpful, but just my 2 cents. :)
