Upon embarking on my social media career, transitioning from an administrative background, I initially overlooked the critical aspect of accessibility. I crafted content and designs without considering accessibility factors.
After participating in an accessibility webinar, I underwent a significant shift in my social media approach. I began incorporating elements such as alt text, color contrast, and more to ensure I reach all kinds of audience. In addition, I also implement an accessibility policy to ensure the organization is producing accessible documents and assisted in redesigning the website to meet ADA compliance.
