I’d say technical know-how on the paid side. Especially with Meta’s pixel/data January 2025 announcements impacting charities in the UK just now.

The pixel/data is definitely going to affect us in the US as well. I work for a nonprofit here and trying to adapt rapidly.

Not here, but community management will be even more important. We are nothing without our communities and with everything happening, especially for us based in the US, on Monday -- well, I suspect we will see more terse engagement, more bots leaving a trail of spam, and either a larger drop off of people getting rid of their accounts, or going silent.

I think as more stuff goes private, social listening and partnerships will be key to maintaining a pulse on your communities. This will be especially prevalence in 2025 as more people are talking behind closed doors.

Social listening is more important this year as it leans harder on authenticity (less reliant on AI and automation).
