Question

Best Design Tool for Social Media?

Hello!

At my company we are currently using Adobe XD for our social media templates our internal marketing associates use as well as our social media agency. I had inheritated these when I started and since XD is now being sunset I need to find a new solution.

Adobe Express, Canva and Figma have all been tossed around as options. Does anyone have any experience or reccomendations with these tools with the lens of leveraging brand templates and and designs. We wouldn’t be leveraging any sort of off the shelf options in these tools.

Canva is an easy recommendation for me to make. It’s easy to explore and test drive for free, has a huge templates library and custom template capabilities, the UI is accessible and easy to use. Canva may not be a 10/10 on every bullet point, but overall, it’s the best all-around choice (in my estimation).

I’d recommend Canva as well! They have a lot of great templates, and their brand kit feature is extremely helpful to adjust colors and fonts to our branding.

I’d recommend Canva for quick posts. We use Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for posts that are more intricate, and Adobe Premiere for video. Adobe Lightroom Mobile is amazing for quick photo edits. Photoshop is also great for creating gifs with their timeline tools.

Canva! Once you have a brand account, Canva can be an amazing tool. Here’s why we love it:

  1. Brand accounts prioritize your fonts and colors, so everyone creating already knows what to use without having to look up hex codes.
  2. Easily share documents and designs with your team.
  3. Create templates that anyone can use on your team to easily make content.
  4. Doesn’t require an in-depth knowledge of Adobe tools, which means even our interns can be pushing out brand appropriate content.
