As social becomes even more of a pay-to-play game, “organic social is dead” has become a popular catchphrase for marketing thought leaders. While organic social media definitely isn’t what it used to be, it certainly isn’t dead.

Organic social should never live on an island, nor should it rely on paid. Organic social should be the foundational content engine that may be amplified in paid, content may come from creators, content may be used outside social, etc. A truly integrated approach to content is key.
