We are constantly experimenting with new platforms and content, and Sprout is a great way to track it.

Right now, we are experimenting with how to increase traffic to our thought leadership blog via LinkedIn. We have been using a combo of carousels, graphic quotes, and polls all with links in the caption. Every outbound and inbound message is tracked with a tag.

With that, we are able to see that carousels are by far getting the most engagement, and in particular get lots of reposts and comments.

The graphic quotes we did however are not doing well (which is a bummer because they take like 1/10 of the time to make).

Polls are hit or miss, some do great, some don't. Waiting on more data to see which ones get better traction.

Next month we are dropping the graphic quotes and are going to try something else, maybe videos, maybe newsletters.

It's nice because anyone on the team can see the tag report and get a clear idea of what is performing well in Sprout. Additionally, I share our a weekly review of top tagged performers, both ours and external shares of our content, at our team meeting.
