My favorite Social Media Moment of 2024 was kicking off our first influencer partnership! It was a great learning opportunity from contracting to execution. There hadn’t been many similar campaigns in our industry, so it was cool to tap into a new network of individuals. I’m looking forward to continuing to expand this program in 2025.
Great video, first of all — short, fun, and sweet!
In 2024, one big win that comes to mind is that I became better-versed in using AI prompts, and by extension, better able to leverage AI in a responsible, careful way in social media and other content production. It was fantastic to gain some mastery over a powerful tool that will continue to become more useful into the future!
This year, my favorite social media moment was launching our Instagram takeover campaign, which showcased the expertise of our employees. This initiative helped enhance our employer branding by sharing authentic stories and insights directly from our team members. For the participants, it was a platform to express their voices and highlight their work on a global stage. The campaign helped increase our follower count and boosted engagement.
My favorite memory from 2024 was joining Sprout and having a single, unified platform for all of our staff to efficiently post engaging social media content across platforms 24/7/365.
A 2024 highlight that stands out for me was the moment when a customer publicly thanked our customer care team for turning a bad experience into a good one. This demonstrated that providing excellent customer care has ripple effects on a brand’s community.
My favorite social media moment of 2024 was when my company’s CEO and our President did “Hot Ones” with me for our local United Way campaign to raise money for our community. It started as a fundraising event just for our employees to enjoy, but the videos and photos we posted on social before and after were some of our top performing posts of the year. Plus, the conversations it started offline were numerous and still continue to this day (6 months later).
It showed that we aren’t “stuffy, boring bankers,” we aren’t afraid to make fun of ourselves, and we will do just about anything for our mission (impacting lives in the communities we serve).
This was a great example of instead of trying to participate in every trend on social (I wouldn’t even call “Hot Ones” a trend), being strategic in taking something that is already well-known in pop culture, putting your own twist on it that makes sense for your brand (in our case doing it for a good cause), and it resonating - both on social and in person.
Several other companies near us have now “copied” and done their own version for their United Way campaigns as well - raising even more money for our area!
My favorite social media moment of 2024 was adding Sprout into our tech stack! The features and the reporting have been a major value-add to our company. I’ve only been a Sprout user for a couple of months. I’m excited to see what we can accomplish in 2025 with Sprout
We had so many wins this year. Notably one of them using the LinkedIn carousel in innovative ways, presenting PDF documents that are interesting to our audience, and then getting selected to present this year at a conference on our success.
My favorite social media memory for 2024 was creating an engaging new volunteer feature series -- the first of which was the closest thing to viral I’ve created (note, not viral by any standard but for our tiny org it got a huge wave of engagement unlike anything we’ve ever seen!
My favorite social win for 2024 was increasing our internal collaboration on social content planning and creation. This additional collaboration has helped us to increased the quality of our content and increase in our social engagement.
Love the wrap up video! My favorite social media moment for our company in 2024 was a successful campaign around ‘National Technician Appreciation Week’ (to recognize our employees) and ‘National Truck Driver Appreciation Week’ (to recognize our customers). These are nationally recognized holidays in our industry, but this was our first year participating on an organized, intentional level.
For National Technician Appreciation Week:
Gained approval to gift every Tech in our organization a small gift, gift card, and custom thank you card
Gained approval to treat every dealership location to a food truck lunch of their choosing
Coordinated internally with our payroll team, marketing coordinators, service teams, and admin teams to deploy
Shared technician and team photos and stories
For National Truck Driver Appreciation Week:
Gained approval for the expenses on gifting all truck drivers that entered our dealerships that day a koozie and hat to recognize and thank them for their work in our industry
Coordinated internally with our dealership teams, marketing coordinators, and admin teams to deploy
Set up forms and displays for each giveaway table, that included a QR code where participants could share their photos and stories about the job!
Utilized our social channels to share about the gifts during the week, and afterwards we posted any truckers that shared their stories with us to our own platforms!
Did I mention that these two weeks are back to back? It makes coordinating these week long events an additional challenge but I am proud to say this was the most successful year of participating! We received kind messages and thank yous from our employees, as well as recognition online from our customers, AND we even gained service opportunities from some of the food trucks. It was a true team effort and I am excited for next year.
I really enjoyed the fun wrap up video. What an impact! My favorite moment using the Arboretum Program was to connect with another industry professional, Kaitlin at Culligan. We had many synergies across our teams. We look forward to staying connected.
Another big win personally in 2024 was my launching my Substack newsletter (1) The Social Forecast | Alyssa Greve | Substack where I have been exploring the complexity to modern communication and how to innovate in today's interconnected world.
I’d love to spend more time in here to inspire ideas, develop new approaches and make more connections. Is there a director to see who we may want to connect with and follow?
One of my team’s big 2024 social media wins was ending the year with exceptional numbers and exceeding our goals for a healthcare client. No easy feat in the current industry atmosphere.
We also used Sprout Listening throughout the year for several clients to 1. Mitigate crises 2. Explore their brand reputation 3. Track sentiment.
Props to everyone for navigating the crazy that is social media right now!
We Sprout!!!
I work at a University and had such a rewarding time working with and mentoring a student photographer/videographer! At the end of the fall semester, the two of us produced a simple video idea that had a big impact—the most views and engagement on one of our posts ever! Sometimes simple can work at exactly the right moments, and it was fun to celebrate the little wins that feel big
I loved watching my students’ confidence grow when their posts performed well. There’s something so warm and fuzzy about seeing their eyes light up when we talk analytics!
I had a successful campaign with asking school families to submit photos of them viewing the big eclipse so we ended up with an amazing spread for our school yearbook! They were also sharing them all over on socials with our hashtag! It was fun and amazing!
My favorite social media moment of 2024 was moving into my current role of supporting social within my workplace. Ona personal level, I was always very deterred by social media and avoided it all together, but having it become my job has given me a different perspective. I enjoy the technical aspect of implementing posts that others designed, and it is gratifying to see a campaign or new release come full circle from inception to the last step of sharing on social.
we did a promo for national hard seltzer day where we asked followers to submit pics of them enjoying the product, and then we did a round of internal voting & a final four via the poll sticker in IG stories to get a winner. we made a custom tshirt with their pic & the client's logo.
it wasn't necessarily gang busters, but it was a cool new idea that got us a bit out of a rut we'd been in, plus the clients were quite pleased with us thinking outside the box. fun!
Wow so many great answers! My own favorite social media moment is a little lighter - I loved the sad hamster with a bow meme! They were so relatable and made me laugh out loud. Excited to see what kind of memes/trends emerge in 2025!
We had a lot of great moments on social media this year, with a number of big announcements for great partnerships and initiatives that performed exceptionally well. However, the most fun I had on our social campaigns this year was coordinating our EmERge doctor takeovers on our Instagram stories mid-year (showing a behind-the-scenes look at one of our top emergency programs), and then designing and putting together our 2024 Wrapped post (a la Spotify Wrapped) to highlight data that would usually be more internal and have it really resonate with our audience and positively impact our brand perception.
Let’s goooo!
It’s been such a great experience exploring the Arb and connecting with other social media pros here.
My favorite social media moment from 2024 was collaborating with influencers during Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. I had the privilege of meeting and helping to share the stories of two incredible individuals. The takeover-style campaign was a huge success, and it was amazing to see our audience engage with the content. I’m excited to continue this momentum into the new year!
In 2024 I executed a campus-wide scavenger hunt where are the communication, including hunt details, clues, etc. were on our instagram. It went over so well we did it again for our second giving day. College kids love stuffed animals, too!
2024 is wild to look back on, it’s hard to choose a favorite moment. On an industry scope, I loved seeing people embrace being a part of livestreams, whether it was tuning into political content, watching the eras tour on youtube, or joining in the phenomena of live shopping on tiktok, it felt like in those moments we got back to what social media started out as; a connection point.
Personally, I got to launch our organizations first influencer campaigns, and that was an awesome experience. We don’t do a lot of it in B2B SaaS, but this year we shifted how we “do social”, by having social media roll up under demand gen, but always maintaining that core tenet of what social media is really for - connecting with people, not personas.
The cherry on the cake for the year was winning my orgs Marketing Contributor of the year as a social team of one. Here’s to 2025!
I work at a public university and one of my favorite moments from 2024 was creating our team’s take on the Gen Z slang trend that was circulating in the fall. We crafted a script about our university and worked with our multimedia team to create a fun video version of it. Like any trend, it definitely got mixed reviews, but I think we put our own spin on it and showed off the unique environment at our school. Hoping for a great 2025.
In 2024, I enjoyed your events, your weekly updates/round ups and the mentorship program, which led to a great connection and conversation with Rolando! Helping me learn more everyday about social media. Thank you and keep up the good work team. All the best for the year ahead.
