One of my favorite tools is monday.com. It is my lifesaver!!! Not sure what I would do without it
It’s a work management tool that my whole team uses to organize our tasks and projects. I have automations set up to create reoccurring tasks each month, track how long projects take so I can look back on them in the future, and more! I also love tracking my KPIs in monday and being able to visually see how close I am to hitting my goals. I would highly recommend monday to anyone who is looking for a better way to organize their tasks and projects.
We have been using Monday.com for my Marketing team of 9 this year as well!
We use Trello for Project Management - it’s a great resource to know what other things I’m working on outside of social calendars and content.
And honestly, having a work phone separated from my personal phone to keep an eye on socials, gather content with, etc., is a game-changer.
Will definitely look into Trello, our agency has been struggling to land on a PM tool the last three years and this is one that hasn’t come up yet!
Another vote for Adobe Express here! I’ve migrated from Canva to Express since our team can easily access and use assets from the entire Adobe suite as well as Adobe Fonts.
I’ve been impressed with the AI features, specifically how quickly it can resize designs for different platforms and automatically improve images. It saves time and helps me create professional-looking content more easily.
I hate to admit it, but ChatGPT has been a game changer for me this year. It’s helped with enhancing productivity as a social media manager.
Canva is also a go-to tool I use frequently!
Mine is Notion!! i love how it helps me organize a project and keeps all relevant docs organized.
Also love notion! But having a hard getting full agency buy-in on it. Sadly no one tool seems to make everyone happy.

I need to test out monday.com!
I highly recommend it! I believe they also have a free trial period so you can play around in it and see if it works for you

BOTH OF THESE! I love Trello - I manage my to-do lists, content planning lists, etc. in that platform. When I used to manage a print magazine, I did page management and layout there as well.
At first, I wasn’t on board with two phones, but it’s been so helpful for keeping all of the social media management separate.
Apart from Sprout Social and Canva, which are amazing tools that I use on a daily basis, Adobe Color’s accessibility tool is a go-to for testing color contrast in designs. Accessible Brand Colors by Use All Five is another great accessibility tool that I’ve been using as my organization is working towards a rebrand.
Love this! Will check out both of these color tools...
Honestly Sprout Social has been the biggest game changer for me this year since I advocated for our team to start using it. I spend a significant amount of my time on content planning and social media management for two organizations, and Sprout saves so much time since I can almost always schedule all my content in one spot. Also, I didn’t realize how many tags/mentions I was missing because of Meta’s glitchy notifications, so the smart inbox tool has been incredibly helpful as well.
I agree with this! Sprout Social has been a game-changer for our social team!
What if my answer is Sprout!!! Lol. As a social media manager, I literally can’t get my work done without Sprout. So for that reason, Sprout would be my #1 work tool, and coming in at #2 would be Asana. I am part of a small team at a boutique agency, but Asana is vital for us in staying organized, delegating tasks, and helping me manage the many hats I wear as a social media manager!
Cap Cut is everything to me! Ease of quick editing, exporting, fonts, etc. It really simplifies my editing process and it’s just so user friendly. Also, their free option isn’t even that limiting but I did opt in for the Pro Plan just for some fun extras!
Cap Cut has been great for organic social content creation!

I am right there with you! Learning how to utilize chat GPT well has been game changing for us. Right now I’m working on developing “profiles” for each of my clients -- telling chat GPT their voice, their business mission, etc. So that it can help give me accurate and on point ideas for caption content when I send it images. How do you use it day to day?

Woah I haven’t heard of this tool yet?! How does it compare to Sprout in terms of pricing and UX?
Trello! I use trello every single day, it’s my go to tool for to-do’s and task management. You create “cards” (ex, To do Today, This week, wip) and then individual items within each card, which you can drag and drop onto different cards as you work on the task. I love that you can create labels, I do this to prioritize which tasks I need to complete first. I find this most helpful when reminding me that I need to follow up on emails. As soon as I send the initial email, i create a reminder for a few days later to follow up if needed. Best part is, it’s free! They do have a paid version, but the free version is pretty robust in itself.

Highly HIGHLY recommend Trello. Use it every single day & it has great tools for collaboration as well!

I’ll have to check this one out! I use photoshop but forget Express is an option as well.
Canva and Asana!! Could not survive without either!
Sprout is also my #1 tool, followed by Monday.com and Chat GPT.
Another tool that hasn’t been mentioned but has been very helpful for my teamis PlayPlay. It’s a video creation tool that allows us to create quick videos from content that has been previously captured or content that we capture ouselves.
We launched our TikTok account last month, and CapCut is becoming a favorite of ours as well.
Sprout and Canva are the two we use absolutely every day.
Sprout for the tagging, scheduling, and responding to comments, it does it all.
Canva because even people who aren’t creative or artistic can use a template to have something look well designed and maintain the company branding and aesthetic.
One of my favorite tools is the “GoFull Page” widget in Chrome that allows me to screenshot the full screen. Defintily comes in handy along with the Snipping Tool.
Couldn’t live without the Snipping Tool!
Can I cheat and do two? I’m gonna cheat.
#1. Canva, my ride or die graphic design tool.
I wear so many hats at work, and having Canva as my sidekick makes my design process so much easier than it would be if I was using Adobe.
At least, I think it does. Canva makes sure I don’t have to figure out how to use all the Adobe bells and whistles--just the ones I desperately need to prepare certain files.
#2. AirTable, my project management pick of a decade-plus.
AirTable works the way my brain does and is completely customizable, making it scratch that itch to be able to organize things my way, 100% of the time.
Hands down I love airtable! It is great to create a content calendar in there and the referential database aspect of it has been super helpful.
I hate to admit it, but ChatGPT has been a game changer for me this year. It’s helped with enhancing productivity as a social media manager.
Canva is also a go-to tool I use frequently!
Used well, it’s totally a game changer! I think bad actors give it a bad look, but it has definitely helped to quiet my overthinking brain and send the dang email!
This is the best audience research tool online. They have aggregated data for demographics, search terms, similar websites, even things like social media accounts users follow. It’s a must-use tool for anyone who creates marketing strategies or someone looking to do competitive research.
Plus, their resources (blog, newsletter, webinars) are extremely well done and helpful.
I’ll offer up some different ones. Talkadot because I’m also a speaker about social media to small business and this helps to get great testimonials as well as ongoing engagements and reportei because I can create individual data dashboards for clients so they feel like they have access and transparency without me always having to whip up a report.
