How to set up business location tag on Facebook/Instagram

Hi all! I am trying to set up the location tag for my business page(s). I have added my business address on Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, my own website, and Apple maps. No matter what I try I cannot get my location to show up on Facebook or Instagram when trying to tag my location on a post. My page followers have said they cannot tag my location on their posts either. I tried to create a custom place on Facebook as well, but it still not does show up. Please let me know if you have run into this issue and what the resolution is. It is super frustrating, and happening to two of my different business pages.

LATAM Social Media Usage

Hi friends! Stephanie from the Sprout team here. 👋🏻I’m reaching out with a question on behalf of one of our customers and hoping the community may have some insight: they work with an agricultural company and are putting together a social strategy for launching a social media presence in LATAM (Mexico, Argentina and Colombia specifically). For this project, we’re looking for recent research on social media usage among farmers, ideally within the LATAM region. We’ve found some decent starting research that’s more generalized around social media platform usage in LATAM, but are curious for more focused research on behavior/usage trends among farming/agriculture so we know where to prioritize our efforts. Appreciate your help in advance!

Setting up new Meta account after old one was disabled

A handful of months ago, one of our clients ad accounts was disabled for unknown reasons. They took the usual steps to try and get it back up and running without any success. They even had one of their admins setup a new ad account and it worked for a bit to run ads through the new ad account, but that was disabled as well. And finally, we at the agency used one of our employee’s accounts that hadn’t ever been added to the client’s account to setup ads through yet another ad account which was also disabled. All of this to say… it seems that we’ve hit a dead end and need to explore other options.One of our options is to start a new FB page, new IG profile, and new ad account. Curious if anyone here has done this and has any things to think through before doing this? We obviously recognize that we would lose all of our current fans/followers, but right now paid is outweighing organic.

Customer-to-social media follower ratio

I have a client who is a dentist's office and they want to know if they have a good customer-to-social media follower ratio. They have 7500 clients and based on their follower count 17.83% of their customer base is following. I can't find any data about the actual number of customers to social media followers ratios. And what is considered a good or bad benchmark? Has anyone heard of this ratio before or have a source or data I could reference. Thank you in advance.

Should a brand have separate regional channels?

We are currently investigating if we should allow separate channels to our main group account. We are worried about brand confusion and dividing our followers but also having less people look at the main channel. There is not much info out there…  some brands do it others don’t so I thought this community might have some interesting insights or opinions :)

Service Outages: How does your brand manage the aftermath?

We are a tech company that make smart garage door openers that can be controlled with our smartphone app. Occasionally, we experience service outages that may temporarily leave people locked out of their garages if their only way in is though our app (i.e. they don’t carry keys with them, don’t have a garage door controller with them AND don’t have an entry keypad installed outside of their garage).We are looking for perspective from brands who have experience with this on how to approach the 24-48 hours following a major outage:After announcing that service is restored/issue is resolved, how long do you leave that announcement post up? Do you delete it at some point and if so, when? Do you pause all posting on the following day? How long do you wait to resume your day-to-day publishing activity? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer here!

Is Facebook Ads Dying for B2B?

Recently, out of the blue, Facebook permanently banned our main Business Page from running ads. Our ads account is still active and we can run ads from any other page, just not our main page. They stated we went against their advertising policies but told us that they couldn’t tell us what policy we broke and why. We’ve been running ads on Facebook since 2014 and have never run into this issue before.  We work closely with their “Meta Experts” who regularly review our campaigns, so you’d assume they would be aware of any policy we may be breaking. We did not have any ads rejected prior to the ban.  Has this happened to you? I have connected with 4 other B2B businesses that this has happened to in the last few weeks. None of them were given a reason why nor a notice or warning.  Additionally, we have noticed diminishing results in our campaigns over the past 2 years. We expected it, but as we have always relied on 1st party data anyways, we didn’t think the quality of results would chan

Random spikes in LinkedIn followers?

I manage 5 LinkedIn pages and all follower charts every month look like this and I have no idea why. I checked on LinkedIn and all the growth is organic, not sponsored. So why is it fluctuating so much? Has anyone else come across this? At first, I thought it was because of a particular post, but some of the days we get the biggest spike we don’t have any posts going out.

Hi Community! Pew Research Center released a new report titled “Teens, Social Media and Technology 2022.” It might not be immediately evident why we should care about teens' social use. I'd start with the thought exercise of "Just how many brands are on social promoting their products to teens.” Heck, how many of the brands that you represent/work with are engaging with this new generation of social media savant?Some of my favorite stats for you:Pew’s research paints an even more stark contrast in expected YouTube use from that demographic than even our own 2022 Index Data. Nearly half of teens now say they use the Internet ‘almost constantly’ (as demonstrated in this data viz) What sticks out to all of you? Anything that Pew missed in their research? Any tips for how your brand makes decisions based on these demographic data points?

IG Story Data/Analytics

I have started scheduling stories for Instagram and sometimes Facebook. I noticed when I post, no documented content stays in the Sprout calendar. I assume any data that results from posting to stories is lost in Sprout? Assuming this is correct, I must now natively collect data from Instagram and Facebook?Just looking for a confirmation. Could be beneficial for Sprout to negotiate some way to track social story data as well. Thanks! -Riana

Help with banned Twitter ad account

Hi all, I work for an NGO and recently had our Twitter ads account made ineligible to run ads as I posted an advert warning civilians of explosives in Ukraine but this has flagged up as inappropriate.  I’ve been in touch with Twitter Ads support, who said if I remove the violating content then they will review and unblock the account so I’ve deleted the ad that has been flagged on the account and asked them to review but the same standard email ‘please remove the violating content and we will review’ keeps coming back. I haven’t run any other ads for a while before so it definitely is this one advert that is flagging on the system. Anyone able to offer any other advice??

Capitalizing on Memes while protecting the brand

Hi social friends!Curious how your brands capitalize on trends like the “Little Miss” trend when it involves copyright. We’ve seen a lot of brands jump on the trends, but were advised by our legal council against posting due to copyright of the “Little Miss” brand. Social Media Verification

Hi all! I have requested verification for my organization, a well-known music conservatory with lots of press that I believe is definitely worthy of the check mark, but keep getting declined. Illustrating Social ROI: Top of Funnel vs. Bottom of Funnel

Hey everyone!  I wanted to crowdsource some insights for the age-old battle to illustrate the true ROI of social when it comes to conversions:  I’ve worked with several teams/individuals who struggles to illustrate true ROI of social efforts to leadership as their leadership is fixated on the bottom of the proverbial marketing funnel (actual conversions) as opposed to the top (where social is dumping the leads to begin with). Between the two points there seems to be a decent amount of attrition/factors that the social team cannot control and that are more on the website side.  I would love to see if any others are running into this challenge and get any insights from the Community on how best to tackle this issue and get leadership to focus more on the top of the funnel!  Thanks!

Drastic Decline in Engagement

I started with a Client on April 1 and since having taken over - the reach and engagements drastically dropped off. This is also the time I implemented Sprout. Facebook Account ownership issue - Inherited accounts

Hi All,I’m looking to see if anyone has ever had the issue where one of the business pages they’ve inherited is owned by an account you don’t have access to? I’m an admin on the page, but it’s giving me issues with syncing our instagram, because it says I need an admin from the account that owns the page to approve.We’ve sent a request but it’s quite possible all the accounts associated with the account that owns the page are dormant or no longer active. Curious if anyone’s had an issue like this, or any suggestions on how to resolve?
