Social Networks

Hi everyone! Has anyone tried the new Buyer Groups targeting option for LinkedIn ads? If so, what was your experience? Do you feel as though it helped you reach a more relevant, engaged audience? Many thanks :)

Hi, we have a main Facebook company page with 12 store location pages underneath for the brands. But we need to set up another page and I’m not sure whether to do is as it’s own company page or a store location page? Does anyone have any thoughts for which one is the best approach?

X/Twitter as a platform has been declining for our B2B brands for a while, but we’ve mainly stayed on due to inertia and making sure people could find us. But with Musk’s inappropriate behaviour at the US inauguration and since, I personally am feeling moral reprehension at the platform writ large. (put another way, I wanted to immediately delete EVERYTHING but of course I couldn’t be so reactive)I’ve put together a business case for my boss’s that lays out statistics etc, but I’ve hit a minor snag in that our competitors are not showing any signs of leaving, and their posting frequency has not changed. So I wanted to reach out to the Sprout community to hear if you are also having conversations like this and/or if your B2B brand has already made a decision one way or the other. Thanks in advance!

It appears that OpenAI is building its own social network, according to Reuters and The Verge. If so, do you think it would be a net good or ill for social media? Would working with an AI-first social media platform be a good fit for you or your clients? As for me, while some news coverage is skeptical or concerned, I think I’d wait and see how this develops, but it’s on my radar now.

Hello! We’re a local non-profit that is part of a larger national organization. While we share the same mission and values with other locations across the country, each one—like us—operates independently and focuses on the unique needs of our own communities. We manage our own programs and run three social media pages. Two for our different locations, and one for our Bargain Shop. The Bargain Shop page has different content then our other two pages. We just had our Bargain shop page suspended due to “impersonating” a brand. We appealed it then it was denied and our page has been deleted. We just requested another appeal and are waiting for decision from Meta. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Does anybody have an idea when Sprout Social will add Threads to the Social Listening section?

I feel confident in my organic social media knowledge. I stay up to date on latest trends and follow thought leaders.  But I am lacking paid social/ad expertise! What are your favorite paid social newsletters, thought leaders, online community, certifications, etc.

Has anyone else heard of “WeAre8” or actually using it? It’s a social platform that’s been around for a couple of years and bills its self as “The People’s Platform” with minimal data tracking, strong moderation and paying people for the ads they consume.

Is anyone else’s Facebook videos not publishing? I’ve tried in Sprout, the Meta Business Suite and Facebook natively and the video I’m trying to publish is not showing as live. I tried scheduled in advance and publishing immediately, and I get a message saying it’s shared. Then the video doesn’t show on the page or the drafts/scheduled, it disappears entirely.Anyone else having this problem right now?

Hi there! I created a campaign for march based around the instagram poll feature - but every time I go to post using the poll all set up, it gives me an error. “something went wrong. please try again later.” I have tried everything - powering on/off, making sure app is updated, etc… anyone else experiencing this?

I would love to know how fellow healthcare brands approach engaging on social media, especially Instagram. In hopes to boost our engagement and following, I’m creating a more structured strategy around what accounts with engage with, in addition to engaging with the comments on our posts. These are some of the types of accounts we currently engage with but curious if any other hospitals/healthcare brands have any other approaches to engagement?Cancer support organizations & advocacy groups Local community organizations that support our hospital Cancer research and educational sources Medical research publications Patients, while following HIPAA Local accounts, like the city, sports teams, local leaders Legislators, when appropriateFeel free to share any insight to your organizations approach to engagement!

Hi all,I’m not sure if this was a widespread Meta initiative or not. A few months ago, we were alerted that all inactive users were to be removed from Meta Business Manager account. We emailed all the inactive users, but of course, we know what happened.Last week, users were removed. Quite a few people want access again, but when signing up, they get this error message: “Something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. You may be able to try again.” I experienced this once before, and it seemed to resolve itself after about a week. Do you have any other ideas? Was there anything you did to resolve this issue?I have reached out to our rep, but Meta’s layoffs are happening this week, so I am not hopeful about hearing from them.Thank you!

Hi there fellow healthcare marketers!Curios to find out, how do you typically find and approach patients who are willing to share their personal stories on your organization’s external channels, like social media and website? Since patient information may not be directly accessible to marketing teams, do you rely on clinic staff, advocacy programs, or another approach entirely? Are there any challenges you’ve faced? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone!  Is anyone managing Nextdoor for clients?  We have a client who’s locations get discussed a lot on the platform - so much so that we may need to start engaging there.  Would love to get feedback on any experiences when it comes to management, monitoring, etc.

Curious if anyone has seen a new platform emerge as a replacement for X, formerly Twitter, specifically among the science, research and healthcare community. I’m a social media manager for a cancer treatment and research institution and X is a big part of our social strategy. As Bluesky and Mastadon are growing in popularity, I would love to know if any healthcare or research organizations have made the switch and if you are seeing a growing community of users interested in science or medical content.

Are social media marketers securing their company’s social handle on Rednote during this impending doom regarding TikTok in the US? I just heard of Rednote yesterday and I can’t really find anything online specific to social media marketing on that platform.

Has anyone ever received this error when setting up an ad? I run ads frequently and have never seen this before. Any help is greatly appreciated! one

What advice do people have about claiming social accounts as a means to prevent scams? I’ve recently been asked to claim Instagram, Facebook, and Threads account names that are variations of our name in order to prevent outsiders claiming the accounts. I have concerns that it will actually confuse people and not, in fact,  stop them from tagging that account.  We do already deal with countless scam Facebook accounts in our name. I’ve submitted all of these repeatedly as scams to Meta with nothing being done.

I've having trouble with an FB ads account on Meta, it needs to get reinstated since it has been block.  Does anyone have specific advice or a contact to help me with this? Thanks

Has anyone had the task of contacting Bluesky to gain control over a branded account handle? I’ve tried a couple of different avenues (reporting the account, requesting help via support ticket) and, as of Friday, I’ve engaged our internal legal team for support. Open to any and all thoughts. Thank you in advance!

Are you planning ahead for any changes to strategy if TikTok is restricted in the United States in the near term? What do you think social media professionals should do to prepare for that kind of outcome?

Our agency is working on helping some clients create their own Meta Business Portfolios so we can transfer assets to them and the clients can own their Pages. We understand Facebook’s policy against using secondary “work” profiles to manage these, but it’s hard to believe there isn’t a more efficient way to ensure someone’s personal profile is clearly separated from their work one, whether that’s due to personal boundaries or even just avoiding accidental postings from the wrong profile on a Page.I’ve seen a few recommendations to use Facebook’s “multiple profiles” feature, but I’m not understanding how that specific profile gets added to a Business Portfolio. Because you have to add someone with their email address, which is associated with their main profile. How do we only allow their alternate profile to be the admin? Does anyone have insights on how that works (or doesn’t)?Thanks in advance!
