Hi Everyone!  Is anyone managing Nextdoor for clients?  We have a client who’s locations get discussed a lot on the platform - so much so that we may need to start engaging there.  Would love to get feedback on any experiences when it comes to management, monitoring, etc. 

Are social media marketers securing their company’s social handle on Rednote during this impending doom regarding TikTok in the US? I just heard of Rednote yesterday and I can’t really find anything online specific to social media marketing on that platform.

Has anyone ever received this error when setting up an ad? I run ads frequently and have never seen this before. Any help is greatly appreciated! one 

What advice do people have about claiming social accounts as a means to prevent scams? I’ve recently been asked to claim Instagram, Facebook, and Threads account names that are variations of our name in order to prevent outsiders claiming the accounts. I have concerns that it will actually confuse people and not, in fact,  stop them from tagging that account.  We do already deal with countless scam Facebook accounts in our name. I’ve submitted all of these repeatedly as scams to Meta with nothing being done.

I've having trouble with an FB ads account on Meta, it needs to get reinstated since it has been block.  Does anyone have specific advice or a contact to help me with this? Thanks 

Has anyone had the task of contacting Bluesky to gain control over a branded account handle? I’ve tried a couple of different avenues (reporting the account, requesting help via support ticket) and, as of Friday, I’ve engaged our internal legal team for support. Open to any and all thoughts. Thank you in advance! 

Are you planning ahead for any changes to strategy if TikTok is restricted in the United States in the near term? What do you think social media professionals should do to prepare for that kind of outcome?

Our agency is working on helping some clients create their own Meta Business Portfolios so we can transfer assets to them and the clients can own their Pages. We understand Facebook’s policy against using secondary “work” profiles to manage these, but it’s hard to believe there isn’t a more efficient way to ensure someone’s personal profile is clearly separated from their work one, whether that’s due to personal boundaries or even just avoiding accidental postings from the wrong profile on a Page.I’ve seen a few recommendations to use Facebook’s “multiple profiles” feature, but I’m not understanding how that specific profile gets added to a Business Portfolio. Because you have to add someone with their email address, which is associated with their main profile. How do we only allow their alternate profile to be the admin? Does anyone have insights on how that works (or doesn’t)?Thanks in advance!

What is a good work around on Sprout Social to interact with your news feed on Instagram?   

I’m trying to gain access to become ADMIN of a company page. The company doesn’t have access to any current ADMINS.I’ve tried adding my company email to profile and request rights with no luck. Is anyone else seeing Meta ads being served in states that are outside of the geo targets you’ve set? We have seen traffic and lead gen campaigns being served up to people in locations that do not relate to the content of the ads, sometimes in states that are very far from the spots we wish to target. Meta has yet to come back with a solution, so we have been forced to suspend our campaigns. Wondering if other are experiencing this as well? Thanks! 

Hi Arb community! 👋🏻Stephanie from Sprout here, reaching out on behalf of one of my customers. We’re trying to confirm whether it’s still possible to exclude non-followers when building custom audiences for boosted posts (Facebook/Instagram). I thought I would tap into the brain trust and see if any fellow SMMs know either way?I’ve been doing some research and found that Meta is removing the option to add detailed targeting in January (https://www.facebook.com/business/help/440167386536513?id=176276233019487), so I’m also wondering if that could impact any current capabilities for excluding your existing audience/followers. Any insight this group have would be greatly appreciated. We have an issue with our Meta Business Suite account being “disabled”.I have been wrestling with this issue for almost 2 weeks.Is there any way to actually talk to a real person at Meta?Long Story short in bullet format:Account has not been actively used in a couple years. We decided to try a couple sample test campaigns in FB & IG.  Placed ads on Oct. 17/24 Both campaigns required budgets to be pre-paid, and Meta took this from our card on file. (about $250) Both campaigns were reviewed and approved (email notification & dashboard said “active”) After the weekend, noticed no funds had been used up from our pre-paid budget. Finally noticed in “Ads Manger” that our account is “disabled” because they can’t put a “hold” on our card. They do not indicate how much they want to “hold” on the card. I then noticed on Oct. 22, our credit card was to expire this month (10/24) Updat

I'm reaching out to see if anyone could help connect me to someone at Facebook who could help us resolve a Meta Business Manager connection issue. We've tried reaching out to them for months now and have been unable to connect with anyone who can help us. I’ve tried the help pages, I’ve tried support emails, I’m no longer able to submit tickets/cases through their support page… I’m at a complete loss.Here's the situation: Through the natural transition of employees, access to our Business Manager account was lost. When I came on as the social media manager in June, I started reaching out to Meta to gain access and learned that the account admin is registered to a former employee's work email, which is no longer recognized by Facebook as an account because it's been inactive for more than three years now. This led us to request a disconnect of our Facebook page from the Business Manager account—only to learn that too, must be approved by the admin (again, who doesn't exist). 

This story was making the rounds yesterday, that it’s confirmed that Instagram automates higher video quality for Reels and Stories content that engages more (Source: https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/instagram-downgrades-video-quality-less-viewed-clips/731152/). From my POV, this quote from the story sums it up for me: Which makes sense, in terms of maximizing resources to deliver the best user experience to the majority of users (i.e. if something is being viewed by more people, it should be presented in the best quality). But still, that also means that less viewed content loses out, as the reduction in playback quality will likely inhibit engagement, and compound that initial lack of views even further over time.I’m not a fan of the approach, and it will alienate s

To make a long story short – our original corporate IG handle (@KaseyaCorp) was permanently disabled in July for no rhyme or reason. We reached out to Meta support, submitted appeals and nothing was successful in getting the handle back. We talked to our ad rep - who was no help. Fast forward to this week  and the new handle we created (@KaseyaGlobal) was just suspended as well -- and they are accusing us of impersonation. Our content is very clearly for Kaseya and its products. Before we submit another appeal - which last time was denied in 30 seconds - wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this or has an actual human being we could talk to at Meta.  Thank you! 

We have aquired a company, and wanted to see if we could merge their business Facebook page and Instagram pages with our business Facebook and Instagram pages. Is this possible? I know we can add their pages to our business portfolio, but I wanted to know if we can merge them together (followers, etc.). I thought it was a few years ago, but may have changed. Thank you for any help - I always get the best resources here and I am so helpful!

One of our businesses was recently acquired and I’m not sure what to do with the Facebook page since we do not own the name, customers or products anymore. The page has less than 100 followers, but the content/graphics have our logo and links to our website, contact info, etc. First thought was to just close the page down, but please comment if there is a better strategy. 

I have a client who is of the believe that if you create content and post it in Instagram it will get better reach / impressions / engagement.  I know this has been debunked through the years but I cannot find any sold research / where platforms say they don’t do this, etc.  Does anyone have suggestions or resources where I can justify the reason that we schedule content vs. having a manual process?  

Over the last few months our Instagram engagement has considerably lowered and I am wondering if other brands are experiencing the same thing?And equally wondering if you have any theories on why. I know algorithm shifts have had an impact, but think there’s likely more to it than just that- i.e. is the election also a contributing factor? 

Has anyone had experience with “sunsetting” a company page that was acquired?My firm acquired another firm last year. We have posted about the acquisition on both pages and kept up regular posting but their brand will officially be under our name. So I will be running a campaign reminding people to follow the parent company. If you have experience in this, what is your best advice and/or what was your process?
