How are you proving that your ambassador program is worth a budget? What KPIs and metrics are you tracking to ensure that you are getting an ROI? My other question is, how are you determining the goals of your KPIs and metrics for your ambassador program?EX: John Doe has 1.4 million followers on Instagram - we want him to reach XXX amount of people, have XXX amount of interactions, and XXX amount of users convert to XXX amount of revenue.

The age old question that no one ever seems to have the answer to. It’s great that Sprout have the first comment feature but is it even worth it?On Instagram does putting them in the comments versus the post actually matter? My hunch on hashtags on platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn is, are you just giving the user a reason to leave your content and go engage with someone else’s content? Or are people actually coming to your content from a hashtag? What are people’s thoughts?
Howdy!I work for an agency that focuses on B2B tech, and we’ve dabbled influencer work from time to time, but it has always been more along the lines of a B2C program AKA a traditional influencer program. Does anyone have tips and tricks they can share for running a successful B2B influencer program? So far, we’ve researched and recommended SMEs and trade publications for our clients to tap into, but we haven’t got to actually manage that program. Are B2B influencer fees similar to traditional influencers? Is there ever an opportunity to negotiate exclusive relationships?Do you have to do more coaching with B2B influencers?Do B2B influencers even really exist? Is it weird to ask industry leaders to partner? Thanks in advance for the help.
It’s so nice to meet everyone! I’m Lauren and I run a small boutique agency and have been in business for 8 years now. I would love to hear how everyone is continuing to educate their clients and add value to their social media services. Throughout the years, we have found that clients continue to devalue this service, and we have found that breaking social media into several areas of services (content, community, advertising, etc.) is most helpful for clients to understand the various ways social media agencies can lend a helping hand while getting properly compensated for the work that goes into these services. Would love to hear your ideas and what you’re doing!
Hello everyone! I would like to take my LinkedIn ads to the next level when it comes to setting up conversions and bidding. Is there anyone out there that would be open to a Zoom call to share some tips and tricks? I have insight tags set up, but I’ve never done an event tag (worth it?) Also, I use automated bidding, but also understand that putting in manual bids can magnify a budget. I could use some tips on how to not under or overbid. One last thing I’d love insights on. Some of our clients like to test ungated vs gated content on LinkedIn. Is that a fair comparison when reporting on results? Should they just be evaluated on their own? I personally believe gating should be reserved for retargeting, but we get a lot of “well, could we just try it?” for cold/cool audiences.TIA for any advice you have.

Some Non-Profit Questions:So normally we don’t handle non-profits but we’ve had thing clients that does stuff with us on a project basis not a regular basis. We helped them with their end of year appeal. But it’s hard to know if we did well for them when I don’t have any other data to compare things too? I’m not finding many nonprofit industry averages out there. We definitely had some challenges but I’m trying to figure out if it was because of the holidays, second year in a pandemic or what. I’m looking for some general statements. You don’t have to give exact numbers just looking for some overall statements. Did you meet your fundraising goals in 2021? Yes or NoDid you meet your Q4/Holiday fundraising goals in 2021? Yes or NoDid you do better or worse than 2020? 2019? Better or Worse in 2020 Better or Worse in 2019Dealing with the second year in a pandemic did you have a harder time in 2021 raising your fundraising goals? If anyone has any sources for non-profit goals dat
Everything has once again changed drastically in 48 hours and all of us as social managers have had to pause or adjust our entire content calendar in a moment’s notice. Over the last couple of days I’ve seen people ask, myself included if it was appropriate to pause social content and the outstanding answer was yes. But then it begs the question on when do we start posting again? I feel like we were just getting back to a regular routine and once again I could schedule content calendar a month in advance. Back are the days or taking it day by day. But we also have to keep on top of the news to make sure the content we had created doesn’t come off as insensitive and ignoring the state of the world. So personally I’ve decided to pause all my clients content through the weekend a re-evaluate on Monday. What are your plans?

Really great read on how brands and agencies are evolving their strategies with influencers. The most interesting thing to me is on the pricing model and how agencies are working through that.Data collection was also eye opening. Normalizing the process and going beyond a simple screenshot of engagement metrics could help make influencers more professional, reliable, and consistent in their deliverables, as well.Do you work with influencers? Are you prices public? How are you collecting the data? Here's the article..

I’m not one to be idle. As I was asked to assume the role of “Social Media Guy” in my company with no prior experience, my focus (insistence, really) on education has been effectively non-stop for six years. Endless seminars, webinars, online classes etc for countless subjects, all in an effort not just to excel at my job, but to truly make a difference in the future of my company. Here’s the problem: there is precious little “advanced” education out there. The vast majority of online courses are focused - nay fixated - on the basic architecture and implementation of the application, be it Facebook, Instagram, Google Analytics and the like. I need more, and I know of very few places to get it. So, far here’s my list of resources I consider potentially “Advanced”:Facebook Ads: Jon Loomer’s “Power Hitters Club”Analytics: Trust Insights “So What” videos on YouTube & measurementmarketing.ioGoogle Ads: CXL.com (Potentially)Copywriting: Also, CXLPinterest/Twitter: NO Earthly ClueP
I know there’s been so much talk about how social media can be such a downer and cause depression. It’s all true, but social has some great aspects as well. Such as this story about the 16-year-old that was in danger and was able to use a hand signal to alert someone to her situation. What are some other things you think would be cool to see the industry of social media lean into?
This is a test post to see if this is a viable idea that you all like. The premise is to share the list of questions in a single thread and then people could pick and choose which question to answer. It would also give one thread for people to network and link up on after the webinar, in case they were having cool connections during the session in the replies. But are there too many? Does it look strange? I’m going to check it and let me know if this is just a terrible idea. Also, if you were live on the webinar, you saw my internet cut out for the first time in forever right as we went live. I would include an intro to what the webinar was and what we covered and then add the questions below. Here’s what the questions would look like:How do you balance algorithm changes and EOY/Future planning? Is the monthly look-ahead simply an email to multiple stakeholders or a meeting? How do you decide who to include? Where can we find the standard for engagement rate in our industry?? https://spr

I am currently writing a paper for a client for internal use and not for publication. It’s primary function is to be a guide to the most commonly used social media platforms and multi-user chat and messaging apps. And very specifically how they apply to my client’s industry sector - so not just a ‘how to Facebook or Insta’ …I’m covering things like Clubhouse and TikTok too. However, my last section is ‘Emerging New’ . Does anyone remember Bebo? Around 2007/8/9 I had a Bebo account (I also had MySpace etc etc etc too) But Bebo is relaunching as a ‘community app’ and I’ll include it in my paper. So, what’s new in 2022?
Im told this was announced last week, but for those who don’t know I was happily surprised to see Instagram now allows you to post directly via your laptop/desktop browser. A rather Instagram-esque plus sign denotes your ability to perform a heretofore impossible task- save for using Sprout, naturally. I have only tried this using Chrome, and to my elation, multi-format/carousel posts are possible. Hopefully more functionality will roll out in the foreseeable future, including (and especially) deeper analytics external to Facebook’s option.
Hi,Especially for the people using Sprout Social Listening…I’m very interested in knowing how you use the Sprout Social Listening. What sort of topics you have set up, how you fine tuned them etc, and what sort of outcomes you are getting.Just FYI: I’m quite familiar with Sprout, we, quite extensively, use Publishing, Reports and InBox - we use tags and inbox rules etc and we’ve been using Sprout for more than ten years (2009 if I recall) And, although we are a small consultancy we work for some fairly large companies from Media to Insurance for whom we assist with social media management, moderation and forensics. We are beginning to see some possibilities for us using Listening.
