Hey y’all!I’m a social media manager for an IT company who’s currently overseeing around 26 accounts (though thankfully I only manage 4 on a day-to-day). I’ve been asked to takeover an executive leader’s personal LinkedIn account and frankly trying to nail down a process has my brain spinning in circles.TLDR; How do you manage your executive’s personal LinkedIn presence?We're posting 2 times a week, mostly sharing corporate posts or third party articles with 'his' own thoughts. My thought was to add the profile to Sprout, where I can use the approval workflows to schedule content and get the appropriate edits/comments/whatever. Then I realized that I can’t use LinkedIn to repost, only create new, organic content, so I would need to sign into the account and reshare the post directly.So here’s where I’m running circles in my brain:Should I still use the approval workflows via Sprout even though I need to post directly

Hi all,I was wondering if anyone could help me understand the workarounds to not having access to Instagram audios with a Business Account? Our organization uses a third-party scheduling app, (Sprout Social), and I read that Creator Accounts that give you access to these audios cannot use third-party scheduling apps. Any suggestions? This is a conundrum for us. But it would sure be nice to be able to BOTH use trending audio and schedule with Sprout.

I’m sure you’ve noticed influencers and brand accounts alike including something like this in their CTAs on Instagram: “Comment LETS GO! For the link to sign up!”It seems like a genius idea to boost engagement and conversions through a platform known for it’s tricky link-sharing capabilities. I’m wondering if you’ve tried this strategy, what tools you used (if any), and how did it perform?

I’d love a graphical representation or just deeper report on sprout link in bio rather than only being apply to see link clicks through the post performance report and filter. 

Hey,  My personal Facebook was hacked and it’s tied to all the accounts I manage for my company and the ad accounts. I have two factor authenication. I have spoken to Meta twice, they said they got rid of the bad actor, but it appears that bad actor is still there trying run ads through our business manager account. Has this happened to anyone before? Any advice?  Thanks, Dan

I'm looking for some advice on handling departmental Instagram profiles for a college within a university setting. We've had a few departments express interest in creating their own Instagram profiles, separate from our main college account.While we understand their desire for targeted communication, we're concerned about maintaining a cohesive brand, managing content effectively, and ensuring consistent engagement. What do you do in similar situations? Do you allow departments to create their own profiles? If yes, how do you ensure they align with the overall college brand and messaging?

How are people “presenting” their social listening findings/reports? I know Sprout gives you a few different options for exporting and you can take screen grabs but is anyone taking the social listening data and making it into a PPT or something? I would love details for inspiration!  I work at an ad agency and often times the way the social listening report presents itself isn’t enough. What are you doing to make it more into a report and/or present it to your client / others in the agency?

Apologies in advance if there’s already a topic floating around for this, but I didn’t see one. I do frequent LinkedIn advertising for my company and I’ve noticed something interesting. Despite having large audience sizes, in some cases 85,000, my ads typically reach <10,000 LinkedIn users. For those that the ads do reach, it is shown to them an average of 7 times. Now, I would LOVE if my ads were reaching more people in my target audience. I would also love if I could somehow decrease the frequency that my ads are shown to each user.  So I guess I have a couple questions.1.) How can I reach more LinkedIn users in my target audience? Do I simply need to increase my budget?2.) Is there a way to put a cap on frequency? Any responses are greatly appreciated! I am still relatively new in my role. Thank you!

I understand the appeal of wanting to reach everyone, but it’s always the same conversation. “Let's dive deeper. Who specifically are you trying to connect with?” Different demographics, interests, and needs can greatly influence social media strategy. For example, most of my clients are federal agencies in the public health sector. The target audience plays a crucial role in shaping the messaging and outreach strategies. For some reason, this concept doesn't seem to resonate with clients. It's a constant challenge to convey the importance of tailoring our message and approach to match the unique needs and communication preferences of our target audience.I'm interested to know if others encounter this challenge. If you work with clients who cater to various audiences and cover diverse topics, how do you manage to address these varied subjects effectively?

Has anyone else had a team push for year over year comps when looking at engagements within organic social (IG specifically)? The biggest issue is YOY often looks down as the data continues to compound, so we can't get a true look of what last year at months end looked like compared to this year. With engagements becoming the top channel priority and having a push for not just MOM but YOY, I haven’t been able to find an accurate way to report that without making it appear as if the channel is down. Any ideas?  

Hello fellow social media warriors. I’ve bene noticing a trend for the last several months when I pull my monthly metrics: when my impressions are up, my engagement is down; when my impressions are down, my engagement is up. I can COUNT on it. And this is for all networks, to included when I pull cross-network reports, too.  Anyone else? And….whhhhy? 😅

Hey all! Curious if anyone has experience with dealing with personal information requests from consumers in light of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other laws involving personal information? Particularly how it impacts information provided over social media? One of our clients is implementing a data request form and we’ll be tasked with checking to see what information consumers have provided across channels (social, email, website, etc.) There’s not a ton out there (that I can find) regarding what’s required when it comes to deleting personal information on social, so we’re not sure if someone requests that we delete their information, if that includes deleting past social comments, messages, etc. Just seeing if anyone else has any experience related to this!

Hi everyone! I post consistently on all the major platforms with the main one being Instagram. Usually I can easily see 700K+ impressions each week with tons of engagements. The content is very audience driven and has been performing well up until recently.For the past two months it seems like all my posts and reels can’t get past the mid ten thousands for views and the engagements are very low.It feels like I did something wrong and Meta is capping my reach. Does anyone have any ideas?

Going over our Facebook demographics from the past year, I have discovered some confusing changes and trends. I’m curious to see if anyone else has seen similar things.  People Reached By Gender: After consistently having Women as our top reached gender (by a big majority) for years, it suddenly flipped to Men, and has stayed Men since July 2023.   Top Reached Cities: There is zero consistency in this list month-over-month. I believe that some of that might be attributed to targeted ad campaigns. However, in April 2023, New York, NY suddenly topped our list out of nowhere, and has been the no. 1 city each month since July 2023.  (We are a financial institution based in the Binghamton, NY market with locations in Reading, PA, Northern, NJ, and Central, NY) I attached our raw numbers for these two categories. I would appreciate any insight anyone may have.

Glad to be here.Unique question for the community:What is the legality of posting content captured by a social media team member with their personal device who is no longer part of the company if they did not sign a clause releasing all their work to company ownership while they were an employee? Would this former employee be able to sue a company that uses their work without permission?Obviously publishing rights are always obtained when using UGC, but this scenario is a bit different. Hi all, just wanted to hear the community’s thoughts on using the backdate feature on Facebook. Does anyone use it often, why or why not? Has anyone seen benefit - or even negative impacts - using it?I work with a few clients that like to use it, though it’s sometimes because content was published late or past a specific date. Does anyone know if backdating posts negatively affects post performance or SEO? Thanks in advance!
