I am struggling with our engagement numbers on Instagram! We’re a trucking company, so the posts that do really well for us are cool truck photos. I started posting 3 days per week vs 5 days when I noticed the numbers dipping, but it didn't do anything. If anything, I think it just messed up our algorithm. I try to do a mix of educational/awareness content and engaging content.  Which content is best for Instagram - educational or engaging? What are some fun captions or CTAs I could utilize to get more likes and comments? 

We are limited by our internal web development, but marketing wants to do a better job of connecting social content to website content, and our temporary solution is to build more robust landing pages.MailChimp offers landing page builders, which work well with our email, but I personally find the design capability of MailChimp limiting (but that was a few months ago; things may have changed since then). I’ve done some quick searching and found recommendations for Unbounce, ConvertKit, and a few other landing page platforms, but I’d love to ask fellow experts what they’ve found works! Any and all advice appreciated, and thanks in advance!

How will you overcome LinkedIn sunsetting their carousel post feature effective 12/14/23?I'm so frustrated with this change...I've never seen a content style that receives a CTR as high as carousels. Hello Marketers! I read and hear a lot about TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube but except the buzz around Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform, Twitter doesn’t seem to garner much interest anymore.  I agree it’s a great tool to follow # trends, events, and news, for listening but other than that? I do B2B marketing and we poorly perform on Twitter, even ads don’t do much. Our growth is on YouTube and LinkedIn.  5+ years ago, Twitter got much greater returns organically (at another B2B company). I’d love to hear your thoughts.  Thanks!

Our marketing department is reworking our presence on social, and one thing we are trying to do is increase organic engagement. One item currently being discussed is how improve our copy, specifically, copy CTAs on Instagram. What is working for you? What isn’t working? Hello all, I’ve been struggling with this issue ever since taking over the management of the social channels at my current workplace. Since we are an association with so many different chapters, divisions, student chapters, committees, etc… and they often are made up of an international member-base, we get a lot of people listing as working for us on LinkedIn when they don’t.Shoutout to all the other association people on here! Can you share what you’ve done to help guide your members in the removal of their employment record on LinkedIn? I’ve commented on a few suggesting they change the record to the specific chapter they are associated with, but a lot of those groups don’t have a LinkedIn page.Thanks in advance!

My nonprofit has been experimenting with ways to use popular music on Instagram reels. One thing we’ve tried is downloading the song from TikTok and then uploading to IG. Does anyone else have good ideas for how to go about this? I’ve seen some pretty major accounts using popular music and can’t imagine they’re not using a business account (for example, the City of Detroit) because they definitely run ads. Wondering if there is a better way, or a training anyone is aware of for reels? Just to note: These are not ads or things where we’re trying to get donations or action, just engagement. Not trying to circumvent copyright law for business gain!

Hi everyone! I have a target to grow two Twitter accounts.One for the Founder and the other for the brand.We’re currently at 721 for the Founder and I’d like to get it to at least 1000 by end of year (or even in 30 days). The brand account is currently at 39 and I’d like to grow that to at least 100  What strategies would you recommend I use to grow both accounts simultaneously?  

Hi all! I am exploring a few design needs. I want someone who specializes in fun social first infographics. This person would also need to be able to animate. Social designer who can create fun out of the box graphics. Illustrator who creates for social. These can be different people or a mix. Let me know if you have any good recommendations. The need is a bit higher level skillset NOT Canva. I have someone who already helps with Canva basics. 

I am trying to run a comparison report among all of the accounts I manage for each platform that breaks down the engagements, impressions, etc. without turning it into aggregate data. I want to see each account compared to each account, not combined. I haven’t found a way to create that sort of report in sprout besides the competitor reports, but these are accounts I manage so it doesn’t make sense to me to list them as competitor accounts.

Has anyone else noticed Meta removed Instagram carousel video views as part of the data Sprout has access to?This was a massive part of our Instagram strategy and as a result has reduced our views significantly. Tried to contact them but as always their support is utterly useless and Sprout say it’s on them to sort. Incredibly frustrating.

Hi everyone! Does anyone have an app they use that highlights phone taps when showing a screen recording of your iPhone? I would like to create social media tutorials from my phone that show users where to tap on the phone. I’ve seen these used before but have no idea how it is being accomplished. I don’t even know what to search for in the app store or Google! YouTube will show how to use Assistive Touch on iPhone, but that does not work for my needs. Any advice is appreciated! 

Hi Sprout community,Stephanie from the Sprout Success team here. 👋🏻 I’m hoping the community may be able to help one of my teams who’s running into a challenge boosting organic Instagram posts via Meta/Ads Manager.In short, they have an evergreen boosting budget to promote top-performing organic posts for engagement, but when boosting posts that @mention/tag Instagram profiles with large followings (i.e. 100K+ followers), they noticed that Meta/Ads Manager has started enforcing the Partnership ad toggle and will not let them successfully launch the campaign until the @mentions/tags are removed from the post copy. This is an agency who manages organic social for a number of clients, but this particular issue is only impacting one at the moment. Ideally, they’d be able to boost/promote these posts and keep in the partner profile @mention, so we’re hoping there’s a workaround. Does anyone know if this is due to

Hello Arboretum! My division is in the process of cleaning up our social profiles, which has led to a discussion of what to do about our three YouTube channels. We have a division-wide channel that hasn’t had new content for at least a year; a brand-specific channel (let’s call this channel A) that we use mainly to have our educational content be seen by YT’s search engine; and, a second brand-specific channel (we’ll call this channel B) that hasn’t had new content for at least a year AND much of that content is now out of date and should be retired/archived. All of this is to say: Would it be a mistake to completely archive the divisional and channel B profiles? We use Vidyard to manage our videos but that isn’t visible to the public/search engines. As it stands, I foresee maybe 1-2 new videos max being posted each year for the divisional or channel B, which is too low of a generation for it to make sense to have these profiles, in my mind.TLD

Hi! Is anyone using any AI tools that take long form content/blog posts and turns them into social graphics like infographics or carousels?

One of the admins for my Facebook page is no longer able to log in to her profile, so she cannot access our page. She accidentally deleted FB from her authentication app, so she’s unable to provide the code for two-step authentication.Has anyone had success getting around authentication codes or verifying identity another way? She is still able to log in to IG and post to FB from there. Any help appreciated. Thanks! 

I was hired as a Digital Marketing Coordinator many years ago, but that really just meant that I was the one managing social accounts, responding to comments, writing captions, and planning content calendars. I was not a content creator, more of a social strategist. But with how things have shifted I have tried both hiring a social media manager and a content creator and unfortunately neither of them lasted. When hiring for social media roles in 2023 are you seeing a greater trend toward hiring a content creator or someone more strategic? 

Hi there, fellow SMM - I manage social for an SaaS in the risk management space called Riskonnect and we’re wondering what type of out-of-the-box static image posts that are working well for your brand to promote upcoming in-person events and virtual webinar type events. We have no trouble getting engagement on in-person event posts when we’re live at an event, but it’s pretty challenging to get quality engagement on posts leading up to an event (not posting about events is not an option). Thanks in advance for your ideas/suggestions! -Katy
