Giveaway Day 1: Productivity Tip!

Time blocking is a must, especially where I’m in office and distractions can (and do) happen easily. But the number one thing that helps me is a hand written to-do list (because nothing feels better than physically crossing something off) and I color code it either by priority or batched tasks.

Complete agree with robbie.schneider. It’s be such a game changer for me putting on my google calendar focus times for reporting periods, video edits etc. If I have a particular heavy meeting day, I always make sure I block 1-2 hours of time to get through my Asana tasks.

Productivity Tip: Day 1!

Take about 30 minutes to an hour on Monday morning (before your meetings begin!) to plan out your week. Then throughout the week, I find the pomodoro method to be super helpful in keeping me on track to finish my tasks. By the end of the week, my to-do list is complete!

Write it down! I saw someone mention this, but since having kids, my brain is a sieve. I have to write it down or I forget it. To-do lists are also key, but that goes for every aspect of life, no?

To-do lists are hands down my top productivity hack. They keep me focused, help me remember what to circle back to, and make prioritizing a breeze. Honestly, I’m even one of those people who adds something I’ve already done just to check it off—there’s nothing like that little boost of accomplishment! 😁 It’s such a simple habit, but it keeps my day on track and my mind a little less cluttered.

So many time I find myself finally getting into a project, only to get a call or Teams message that pulls me away from my work. Hitting the Do Not Disturb button is an absolute life saver when your working on a project with a deadline and need some space to breathe.

Productivity: Change of Location

As a fully remote employee, it can be easy to get locked in. But it can also be hard to stay motivated. Something that helps me stay productive is changing up my location! Sitting outside in the nice weather, standing at the kitchen counter, heading to a coffee shop, or bringing out the walking pad all make for great changes of pace.I’ve found that even moving my work location for an hour helps expand my mind and increase motivation.

My best productivity tip is finding the environment that works best for you. Some people thrive in collaborative spaces, while others are more productive working from home. I find a balance to be the best for my happiness, but can really dig in and get a lot of work done when I’m working from home.

Replacement for X?

Curious if anyone has seen a new platform emerge as a replacement for X, formerly Twitter, specifically among the science, research and healthcare community. I’m a social media manager for a cancer treatment and research institution and X is a big part of our social strategy. How to add users to manage Facebook pages?

Our agency is working on helping some clients create their own Meta Business Portfolios so we can transfer assets to them and the clients can own their Pages. We understand Facebook’s policy against using secondary “work” profiles to manage these, but it’s hard to believe there isn’t a more efficient way to ensure someone’s personal profile is clearly separated from their work one, whether that’s due to personal boundaries or even just avoiding accidental postings from the wrong profile on a Page.I’ve seen a few recommendations to use Facebook’s “multiple profiles” feature, but I’m not understanding how that specific profile gets added to a Business Portfolio. Because you have to add someone with their email address, which is associated with their main profile. How do we only allow their alternate profile to be the admin? Does anyone have insights on how that works (or doesn’t)?Thanks in advance!

Hi Arb community! 👋🏻Stephanie from Sprout here, reaching out on behalf of one of my customers. We’re trying to confirm whether it’s still possible to exclude non-followers when building custom audiences for boosted posts (Facebook/Instagram). I thought I would tap into the brain trust and see if any fellow SMMs know either way?I’ve been doing some research and found that Meta is removing the option to add detailed targeting in January (https://www.facebook.com/business/help/440167386536513?id=176276233019487), so I’m also wondering if that could impact any current capabilities for excluding your existing audience/followers. Any insight this group have would be greatly appreciated. Instagram disabled hacked account

Hi there! Do you know what could be done if an Instagram account gets permanently disabled because it doesn’t follow the Community Guidelines, because of unothorised attempts to access the account? Someone tried to hack an account and Instagram disabled it. Wondering if you know a phone number or email address I could use to try and speak to someone to hopefully get it back. Many thanks!
