Issues with Adobe Premiere Rush / Alternative Video Editing Software

Hi there! I just got a new laptop (Dell) and it’s having issues with Adobe Premiere Rush - it crashes as soon as try to start a new project and add files. Of course, this is a major drawback since video content is the new favorite format!Has anyone else encountered this crash issue, and have any solutions?Otherwise, I’d love to collect alternative video editing software here in one list!

Business Instagram Hacked — How can I recover / what are my options?

Last Tuesday, one of the accounts I manage was hacked and the email and phone number were changed. I contacted Meta Support Pros and they have been telling me the issue is ‘under investigation’ but nothing more. Stakeholders are now asking me to consider other options.What other options do I have?Has anyone else successfully recovered a hacked account? Are you able to petition for your username back and verification from Meta once you start a new account?

Instagram disabled hacked account

Hi there! Do you know what could be done if an Instagram account gets permanently disabled because it doesn’t follow the Community Guidelines, because of unothorised attempts to access the account? Someone tried to hack an account and Instagram disabled it. Wondering if you know a phone number or email address I could use to try and speak to someone to hopefully get it back. Many thanks!

Tips for building a healthy comment section?

Hi all! I manage an instagram account for a large public university’s study abroad office. While our instagram account does well in terms of collecting likes on posts, our comment section is full of crickets. Can anyone chip in on tactics they use to grow a healthly comment section? One that’s engaging to students, encouraging further discussion, while keeping it drama-free 😅 I know there will always be clean-up to do for inflammatory comments, but I’m wondering how you transform quiet lurkers to converation-makers, without inviting too many trolls! I’d like to create a supportive community of students who can chat together on our posts. Very appreciative of any ideas you can share!

Schedule Tasks on Your Calendar | Productivity Tip for SMMs

Hey all - I’m Katy and I lead Riskonnect’s (B2B SaaS) Global Social Media program. My best productivity tip is: Schedule time to get specific tasks done on your calendar.  Scheduling a specific time to get work for Social done is so helpful - especially for folks like me who work with global colleagues, that may lean towards scheduling a meeting first thing in the morning (when a social post is set to go out, or to be checked on once live).  This can mean either time-blocking so that you always have time in the day to get work for Social done, or it can mean adding mandatory time into your day for both on and off the clock time.

HELP - Instagram account suspended

To make a long story short – our original corporate IG handle (@KaseyaCorp) was permanently disabled in July for no rhyme or reason. We reached out to Meta support, submitted appeals and nothing was successful in getting the handle back. We talked to our ad rep - who was no help. Fast forward to this week  and the new handle we created (@KaseyaGlobal) was just suspended as well -- and they are accusing us of impersonation. Our content is very clearly for Kaseya and its products. Before we submit another appeal - which last time was denied in 30 seconds - wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this or has an actual human being we could talk to at Meta.  Thank you!

Targeting non-followers on Meta

Hi Arb community! 👋🏻Stephanie from Sprout here, reaching out on behalf of one of my customers. We’re trying to confirm whether it’s still possible to exclude non-followers when building custom audiences for boosted posts (Facebook/Instagram). Meta Business Suite in disabled state - need help.

We have an issue with our Meta Business Suite account being “disabled”.I have been wrestling with this issue for almost 2 weeks.Is there any way to actually talk to a real person at Meta?Long Story short in bullet format:Account has not been actively used in a couple years. We decided to try a couple sample test campaigns in FB & IG.  Placed ads on Oct. 17/24 Both campaigns required budgets to be pre-paid, and Meta took this from our card on file. (about $250) Both campaigns were reviewed and approved (email notification & dashboard said “active”) After the weekend, noticed no funds had been used up from our pre-paid budget. Finally noticed in “Ads Manger” that our account is “disabled” because they can’t put a “hold” on our card. They do not indicate how much they want to “hold” on the card. I then noticed on Oct. 22, our credit card was to expire this month (10/24) Updated card info (more than a dozen times) and keep hitting the “try hold again" button with no success. Then w

Meta Business Manager Issue

I'm reaching out to see if anyone could help connect me to someone at Facebook who could help us resolve a Meta Business Manager connection issue. We've tried reaching out to them for months now and have been unable to connect with anyone who can help us. I’ve tried the help pages, I’ve tried support emails, I’m no longer able to submit tickets/cases through their support page… I’m at a complete loss.Here's the situation: Through the natural transition of employees, access to our Business Manager account was lost. When I came on as the social media manager in June, I started reaching out to Meta to gain access and learned that the account admin is registered to a former employee's work email, which is no longer recognized by Facebook as an account because it's been inactive for more than three years now. This led us to request a disconnect of our Facebook page from the Business Manager account—only to learn that too, must be approved by the admin (again, who doesn't exist). Due to this

What platform do you use to help pick contest winners?

Hi everyone,I’d like to have a social media contest across both Facebook and Instagram, but not sure which platform to use to help me pick a winner. I imagine we’d have several people enter the contest and I would certainly ask participants to follow us, share the post, tag a couple of friends and leave a comment, like the post, etc. on both FB & IG. How do you become a verified health source on YouTube?

Hi! We are a 9 hospital healthcare organization trying to become a verified health source on YouTube. Our YouTube account is for the entire system so we are applying for the health features as an organization and not as an individual. However, the application states that we have to have a licensed physician attached/associated with the account. Has anyone in healthcare gone through this process before? Platforms penalizing scheduled posts

I have a client who is of the believe that if you create content and post it in Instagram it will get better reach / impressions / engagement.  I know this has been debunked through the years but I cannot find any sold research / where platforms say they don’t do this, etc.  Does anyone have suggestions or resources where I can justify the reason that we schedule content vs. having a manual process?

Localized Facebook pages missing from Facebook Search Results

Has anyone else noticed that Facebook is no longer displaying search results for any local Facebook pages tied to your organization? We have our main accounts still visible in search in Facebook, but none of our other 200-some locally operated accounts are shown, even though the pages still exist. We are seeing other companies outside of healthcare with the same thing (Enterprise rental car company is only showing main brand account now too). Wondering if there was some Meta update we missed or if it just a glitch. Anyone have additional experiences or insight? Thanks!

Has anyone had experience with “sunsetting” a company page that was acquired?My firm acquired another firm last year. We have posted about the acquisition on both pages and kept up regular posting but their brand will officially be under our name. How do you handle excessive troll behavior?

Hello! I’m curious how your different organizations deal with trolls and hostile comments, specifically on X where the environment has become more volatile. I’m referring less to the one-off negative comment that we’ve just ignored and not engaged with and more to the pile-on behavior of dozens of accounts. We had a situation recently where one of our posts (which we’ve shared before) got picked up and retweeted by an account that caused a slew of 100+ negative comments, retweets, and just general misinformation. We typically don’t engage with these accounts and very rarely do we block accounts because of how it might reflect on us as an organization to silence comments or limit access to our account (and not to mention ignite more hostility). But this recent example of troll behavior has us rethinking our approach and if it’s worth exploring more proactive strategies to limit the toxicity and prevent future troll behavior directed at our account.Has anyone had similar experiences of t

A huge increase in spam on Facebook and X - any tips on how to reduce?

Okay, I hope I don’t sound crazy and this is a good place, but, over the past few weeks, I have noticed a lot of extra spam coming into the social media channels for my company. It’s mostly in two forms. On Facebook: I either get something in Messenger or a wall post from an account posing to be some sort of Meta authority figure claiming the page will be permanently deleted for violating some sort of guidelines and I can request a review by clicking their sketchy link (Obviously I know it is a scam) Here is an example:    On X: I get MULTIPLE tags for these spamming crypto bots somehow. They don’t seem to end and come in a lot. They’re also tagged with a bunch of other random accounts, so I’m simply not sure how my company’s account is picked. Here is what those look like: Now obviously, social media has and always will have scammers and spam. I have a decent radar and digital literacy to know where not to click and what to ignore, but it seems like these have gotten worse -- sometime

How to Export LinkedIn Follower Data

Hello everyone!Does anyone know if there is a way to download my LinkedIn Company Page's followers into an Excel document that includes their names, company name, etc. Our BD/Sales team was looking to use this list for their activities and I want to be able to use this data to show our people that they should be posting to their own connections and not relying on the company posts to do all of the heavy lifting.I believe there was a way in Sales Navigator to download this data, but my company no longer is using Sales Navigator.
