Hey Sprout Community! My team has several clients connected to our Sprout and we have recently had issues reconnecting the LinkedIn company pages back to Sprout after the connection expires. We heard through the grapevine that this is due to LinkedIn updating their API to requiring a Super Admin privilege to connect to Sprout. Has anyone else had this problem within the last week or so? 

Hi all - I’m trying to schedule my TikToks and am getting the following error: Uploading a custom thumbnail is not supported by TikTok.” How do I remove the custom thumbnail? I am not intentionally adding it nor need it. I’m uploading my .mov and it’s automatically creating a thumbnail in Publisher. Is there any way around this?  TIA!

It seems that Facebook has changed its algorithm again, so I’m wondering if anyone has found success with the new algorithm? I’m wondering what content creation is like for TikTok - is it labor intensive? I’ve been nervous to start one in fear that I won’t be able to keep up with it.

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone has seen a recent dip in performance for any Reels they’ve been publishing.Within the last couple of days, I’ve published two different IG Reels for two different clients:Scheduled and published straight from Sprout. Uses the client’s own sound. Usually their Reels get around 10,000 - 20,000 views and this one doesn’t even have 1,000. Created and published in IG. Uses a popular sound. Usually these Reels get 1,000 - 3,000 views and this one only has 150.I just find it odd that both of these are underperforming, especially after IG working so hard to push Reels. Anyone else seeing anything odd? Thank you in advance!

My companies social media engagement has plummeted YoY. Any thoughts as to why?

He is curious to know if anyone here has switched from a Creator Account to Business acct. If so, were there noticeable differences in engagement/reach? Is it worth the change so you can schedule and publish through Sprout?

I am considering what I can only call “the nuclear option.”An opportunity has arisen, allowing me to pursue an extremely affordable education from a reputable college. A quick synopsis/pretext to my question for you:I can pursue an MBA with a Marketing Analytics concentration. Or… I can pursue a Masters in Data Science. Or… I stick with my current educational methods: YouTube, Skillshop, Meta, Sprout, LinkedIn Learning and CXL. Or... I stop fixating on education (aka “staying in my lane”). Like many of you, I am a one person Social Media and Copywriting department. I currently use almost all of Sprout’s tools along with SpyFu to automate the research side of my job, so I might be more reactive to our fans/followers and plan future campaigns. Personally, I’m a big fan of repurposing top evergreen content on a weekly/monthly basis depending on the channel (especially when Sprout’s Send Again feature in the Post Performance Report makes it so easy!) but I’m interested to see if this is still a tactic our community members are leveraging. If you aren’t doing it, why/why not? If you are doing it, what’s your cadence for repurposing content? Are you doing it across all channels or specific ones?

Hi! We recently had a few of our Google My Business profiles suspended. We haven’t made any changes, so I’m not sure why they got suspended. In order to submit a ticket to Google for any type of help or reconsideration, you must include the profile URL. However, the profile URL is unavailable on suspended accounts. So I’m stuck, unable to get any help on this. Has anyone experienced this before or have any advice? Thanks!

Hi everyone!For those who are actively social monitoring, when a commenter tags another in their comment, do you respond to those comments? I’m fairly new in the monitoring realm of social (previously was working heavily in content creation, not monitoring) so I’d love to hear some insights. Part of me doesn’t want to interject two (or three) commenter’s conversations amongst our post, but I also want to acknowledge their comment. TIA!

Facebook changed the structure of their Global Pages so that now there is a “Root Page” and a Root Admin that controls everything. Before, as admin of the Default page, I could publish and unpublish new pages, but now I can’t. I cannot find this Root Admin thing and I need to unpublish 2 of our accounts.Can anyone help me find it?  

Question: How do you conduct a mass-sunset of brand social media profiles w/out evoking confusion/hysteria from followers? Context: Our organization has agreed it is time to mass-sunset a series of social media accounts (currently 114 social media profiles hopefully going down to roughly 60 before the EOY) that were created over the years by numerous dept.’s/teams. These profiles have already been determined to be sunset as they do not serve the brand in any way. Many of them have followers but have not been regularly posted on. These social profiles support an overall brand, but are not the umbrella brand themselves. Thoughts? Ideas? Questions?

Hi there! I’m thrilled to be a member of this community! I’m looking for some advice regarding global social content strategy. Our company has recently acquired a company in the U.K., making us global. When looking at content calendars, how do you decide which holidays or celebrations to feature on social media? Our leadership wants to move forward with creating content for U.S.-only holidays (think 4th of July or Memorial Day). These are either celebrated on different days or not celebrated at all in the U.K. We believe we either need to be focused on both regions or none at all - as it might ignore a large portion of our employee base.  How do we find a happy medium? Move forward with global or international-focused holidays? 

I can’t seem to find anything online other than natively on the platform, you can turn off “anyone can reply.” 

Does anyone have examples they could point me to? I’m asking one of my executives to film himself and I’d like to provide examples for him to look at.

My client is having a problem resharing from other accounts to their Stories. Is anyone else having issues. I’m assuming it’s an IG glitch but unsure. Thanks!Jackie

Does this metric account for ‘unique users’ or not? 

For months now, after moving our Facebook page to the New Pages Experience, Sprout’s super customer service team has been trying to figure out why we can’t reply to Facebook private messages via Sprout. Of course, now we’re all at the mercy of Facebook’s support team figuring things out on their end, so it’s been a long-term holding pattern (Sprout does a great job of checking back in with me as we wait).I’m mostly wondering if anyone else has run into this brick wall and if you’ve seen a resolution to it? I can reply to private messages with no issue within native Facebook platforms. I can reply to Facebook comments and Instagram comments and DMs via Sprout, too. It’s just Facebook PMs that are the problem.

Some Non-Profit Questions:So normally we don’t handle non-profits but we’ve had thing clients that does stuff with us on a project basis not a regular basis.We helped them with their end of year appeal. But it’s hard to know if we did well for them when I don’t have any other data to compare things too? I’m not finding many nonprofit industry averages out there. I’m not one to be idle.  As I was asked to assume the role of “Social Media Guy” in my company with no prior experience, my focus (insistence, really) on education has been effectively non-stop for six years. Endless seminars, webinars, online classes etc for countless subjects, all in an effort not just to excel at my job, but to truly make a difference in the future of my company.  Here’s the problem:  there is precious little “advanced” education out there.
