Hi everyone! Does anyone have tips for being locked out of an Instagram account due to not receiving the access code to login? They have their password and are able to request a code, but then it never comes through.They’ve tried deleting + re-downloading their app, attempted logging in on a desktop computer, and have tried to get in touch with Meta but don’t have a POC there. She confirmed it’s her phone number, and is getting the code when she tested her personal IG account, so it’s not an issue with her phone.Any insight or tips would be greatly appreciated! 

How long do you wait to boost an organic post? Do you wait after posting to let organic reach “do its thing” before boosting? Is there a certain amount of time you wait?

Hi all! I manage an instagram account for a large public university’s study abroad office. While our instagram account does well in terms of collecting likes on posts, our comment section is full of crickets. Can anyone chip in on tactics they use to grow a healthly comment section? One that’s engaging to students, encouraging further discussion, while keeping it drama-free 😅 I know there will always be clean-up to do for inflammatory comments, but I’m wondering how you transform quiet lurkers to converation-makers, without inviting too many trolls! I’d like to create a supportive community of students who can chat together on our posts. Very appreciative of any ideas you can share!

So long story short, we aren’t able to get our receipts from Instagram ads, which are required by my org, so we are no longer doing ads there. Since we stopped, we’ve seen a dramatic decline in engagement on all posts. We weren’t spending a lot, usually $50-100/month on a couple notable videos or carousels, so this major drop in engagement (about a 50% decline) seems unwarranted simple because of that. Would love to know if anyone else has seen this, or is seeing an IG decline in general. 

The next U.S. TikTok ban deadline is set for Saturday, April 5, 2025, when ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, must divest its U.S. operations by then. Do you think TikTok gets another extension, a sale will go through, or a ban will be made to stick? With all that uncertainty around TikTok in the next week alone, do you have contingencies in place, regardless of whatever happens on the political/business side of things?I feel like a “wait and see” approach may be the only way to go right now, while exploring alternatives to TikTok. 

Hi there Arboretum Folks! Hopping on for my first post ever and to pick your brains about adding alt text for social media graphics that are already text heavy. For context, I work in higher ed. and post a weekly calendar of arts events on campus. My current tactic is typing the event info word for word into the alt text field. I’m not sure if this would be helpful or bothersome for someone using an assistive device like a screen reader. Any insight or suggestions? Cheers!

Is anyone using Sprout’s influencer platform or another influencer marketing platform? What do you recommend? What do you NOT recommend? I’ve received so many pitches for different platforms - it’s hard to know what options will be the best fit. For context, I work for a destination marketing organization in Michigan. We have a very specific niche of content creators and target audiences that we look for. Hi, I’m pulling my March reporting and noticed that Facebook impressions are down about 80% for us across verticals. I was curious if anyone else has seen something similar for March. I’d love some additional insights as to why this may be. Our engagement is obviously down some as well, but it’s not nearly as drastic of a drop.

The business credit card we use for Google and Facebook Ads is repeatedly shut down for fraud. It’s probably happened three times already in 2025. It’s the only company card that it happens to.The credit card company doesn’t say how it happens, but once the help desk person said, “this happens with Facebook all the time.” The cc company doesn’t offer any advanced fraud prevention options like text approvals. They now deny every Facebook charge, which deactivates our FB account. I call them, they allow FB charges for 24 hours and then locks the card again. I’ve done everything I can think of security-wise with the card, our accounts, etc. I am at a loss at what else to do. Does anyone have any experience with this? Does anyone use a credit card company with excellent fraud prevention options that we could switch to? 

Is anyone else’s Facebook videos not publishing? I’ve tried in Sprout, the Meta Business Suite and Facebook natively and the video I’m trying to publish is not showing as live. I tried scheduled in advance and publishing immediately, and I get a message saying it’s shared. Then the video doesn’t show on the page or the drafts/scheduled, it disappears entirely.Anyone else having this problem right now?

Hi there! I created a campaign for march based around the instagram poll feature - but every time I go to post using the poll all set up, it gives me an error. “something went wrong. please try again later.” I have tried everything - powering on/off, making sure app is updated, etc… anyone else experiencing this? 

What giveaway picker/tools would you would recommend and why? Is there one that has more options in terms of conditions/parameters?We are about to run our first engagement focused giveaway on our social media accounts (IG & FB). Hi Everyone! I am going a bit nuts with a glitch that is happening on my brand’s Instagram account and I am curious to know if anyone else has experienced this as well. When I am in the “Edit Cover” area of my reel, and I add an image from my camera roll, it appears perfectly on the “Cover” tab. When I navigate to the “Profile Grid” tab, however, the image is zoomed in and I am not able to get the full image to display no matter how much I pinch and drag it around. It has happened to every reel since the end of December when I did purposely zoom an image in for a cover of a reel and the app decided that all future reels and cover images will match this one-time-only art direction. (If I go back to the reel in question where I zoomed the cover image in on purpose, I am not able to zoom the image out as it is also stuck on the zoomed (doomed) state). I would be so grateful if anyone has experienced the same issue and can offer some tips for correcting it!   

Hello!We use Sprout tags on every post, tagging by department. So, theoretically, our tag report should give a pretty good idea of how well our overall performance is. The engagement rate between the report on “profile performance” versus “tag performance” for the same period and the same platform is VERY different. Can anyone help me understand why this is?

Hey all - I’m Katy and I lead Riskonnect’s (B2B SaaS) Global Social Media program. My best productivity tip is: Schedule time to get specific tasks done on your calendar.  Scheduling a specific time to get work for Social done is so helpful - especially for folks like me who work with global colleagues, that may lean towards scheduling a meeting first thing in the morning (when a social post is set to go out, or to be checked on once live).  This can mean either time-blocking so that you always have time in the day to get work for Social done, or it can mean adding mandatory time into your day for both on and off the clock time.
